These studies may contribute to a better understanding of the pathomechanisms of these diseases, as well as the identification of new therapeutic targets. Our investigations focus on the role of tyrosine kinase signaling pathways initiated by cell surface Fcγ receptors and β2-integrins, with several components of these pathways identified over the past few years.

Previous publications related to the project:

Futosi, Kása et al., Arthritis Rheumatol. 2021

Csepregi et al., J Immunol. 2018

Németh et al., Front Immunol. 2018

Németh et al., Nat Commun. 2016

Kovács et al., J Exp Med. 2014

Németh et al., J Immunol. 2010

Jakus et al., Arthritis Rheumatol. 2010

Jakus et al., J Exp Med. 2009

Rheumatoid arthritis and gouty arthritis are inflammatory diseases characterized by acute flare-ups as well as chronic, progressive courses, leading to significant tissue damage and joint destruction, which consequently result in decreased quality of life in the affected population.
