About of the Program<\/span><\/h2>\n
The scholarship program is managed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and co-ordinated by Tempus Public Foundation<\/strong>. The program is based on bilateral educational cooperation agreements<\/strong> signed between the Ministries responsible for education in the sending countries. Currently, more than 90 sending partners<\/strong> are engaged in the program. Applicants are offered full degree or partial study programs at all degree levels, including part-time and doctoral programs.<\/p>\n
Who can apply?<\/span><\/h2>\n
The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Program is open to applicants who meet the following criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Citizens of eligible countries with a valid nomination from the national authorities<\/strong> responsible for higher education.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
Applicants who meet the entry requirements<\/strong> of the selected study program and Hungarian host institution.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\n
Candidates with the required language proficiency<\/strong>, as specified by the university.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

How to apply?<\/span><\/h2>\n
All applications shall be submitted through the online application system of Tempus Public Foundation (TPF).\u00a0<\/p>\n

Monthly stipend<\/strong>\n

Non-degree, bachelor\u2019s, master\u2019s one-tier master\u2019s level:<\/em>
\n<\/strong>HUF 43,700 \/ month<\/li>\n
Doctoral level program:<\/em>
\n<\/strong>HUF 140,000\/month for the first phase of education (4 semesters)
\nHUF 180,000\/month for the second phase of education (4 semesters)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
Accommodation contribution:<\/strong> dormitory placement OR a monthly contribution of HUF 40 000 to accommodation costs for the whole duration of the scholarship period.<\/li>\n
Medical insurance<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Program financially contributes<\/strong> to the tuition fees<\/strong> and living expenses<\/strong> of the scholarship holder. However, it does not fully<\/strong> cover all the costs of living<\/strong> and the students need to add their own financial resources<\/strong> in order to cover all living expenses in Hungary. All applicants are highly advised to check the expected living expenses both in Hungary and in the city that they wish to live in before applying.
