Az 1956-os forradalom \u00e9s szabads\u00e1gharc alatt a budapesti Domonkos utcai kiseg\u00edt\u0151 k\u00f3rh\u00e1z vezet\u0151je T\u00f3th Ilona orvostanhallgat\u00f3 volt. A forradalom lever\u00e9s\u00e9t k\u00f6vet\u0151en megv\u00e1dolt\u00e1k azzal, hogy k\u00e9t t\u00e1rs\u00e1val egy\u00fctt a k\u00f3rh\u00e1zban brut\u00e1lis kegyetlens\u00e9ggel meg\u00f6lt\u00e9k Koll\u00e1r Istv\u00e1nt. A n\u00e9pb\u00edr\u00f3s\u00e1g hal\u00e1los \u00edt\u00e9letet szabott ki r\u00e1juk \u00e9s az \u00edt\u00e9letet 1957-ben v\u00e9grehajtott\u00e1k. Tam\u00e1s Csapody: The role of Gyula L\u00e9gr\u00e1dy in the trial of Ilona T\u00f3th<\/strong><\/h4>\n
\u00a0<\/strong>Abstract<\/strong><\/h6>\n

During the 1956 Revolution and the brief fight for freedom, Ilona T\u00f3th, a medical student, was chief of a unit on Domonkos St that was servicing a nearby hospital. After the defeat of the revolution, she, along with two colleagues, were indicted for brutally killing Istv\u00e1n Koll\u00e1r. The verdict of the People\u2019s Tribunal was a death sentence for all the accused, which was carried out in 1957. After the change in the political system, the judgment against Ilona T\u00f3th was annulled.\u00a0 However, there was no new trial and thus no clarification of whether Ilona T\u00f3th and her partners had actually committed the crime they were charged with. Researchers had tried to uncover the facts. They determined from the body of the deceased that he was not the victim of the alleged murder. Thus, the key evidence of the crime, the body, the so-called corpus delicti, <\/em>was missing. The possibility was entertained that the body found was not that of Istv\u00e1n Koll\u00e1r. Autopsy on the exhumed person showed that he could not have been Istv\u00e1n Koll\u00e1r. \u00a0In case Ilona T\u00f3th and her partners murdered anybody, it possibly could have been Gyula L\u00e9gradi(y). Other than what could be found in a brief police report about him, nothing else was known; it was a mystery who he really was. This gave rise to all kinds of hypotheses. Based on newly uncovered facts, this study describes Gyula L\u00e9grady\u2019s life and reconstructs the story of his death and burial. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
