    Key research areas<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The aim of the Pain and Psychosocial Stress Research Group is to advance and shape research in health psychology by exploring how biological, social, and psychological factors may influence health and illness including pain.<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    A key focus of the research group is to explore the epidemiology and the pathogenesis of acute and chronic pain with a special attention to the role of comorbidities. In addition, the group aims at establishing the multidisciplinary management of pain and effective pain management systems.<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Further research areas of our group include the evaluation of bio-psycho-social and cultural determinants of mental and somatic disorders such as specific learning disabilities, their potential consequences, as well as the methodology of the assessment of burnout and the differential diagnosis of burnout and depression.<\/p>\n
