Masks should also be worn on occasions when you are away from home only for a short time, eg. when you are taking the rubbish out using the common areas of the building (staircase, entrance hall, etc.). This is necessary because <strong>this protective garment prevents the spread of the virus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Face masks can easily be made from cheap and easily available materials often found at home, while following some simple rules.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>ATTENTION!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Cloth face masks should not be worn by children under the age of 2 or by anyone who has difficulty breathing, is unconscious, incapacitated or otherwise unable to take the mask off without help. Semmelweis University recommends that masks be washed at a minimum of 60 degrees.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><strong>How should a used cloth mask be safely removed?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>You should be careful not to touch their eyes, nose, and mouth when removing their face covering and <a href=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/koronavirus\/en\/hand-hygiene\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">wash hands<\/a> immediately after removing. These will be the ear loops. Use a large needle or a bobby pin to thread it through. Tie the ends tight.<br \/>If you do not have elastic, use hair ties or elastic head bands. Gather the sides of the mask on the elastic and adjust so the mask fits your face.
