{"id":9009,"date":"2019-04-04T15:28:00","date_gmt":"2019-04-04T13:28:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/hok\/?p=9009"},"modified":"2019-04-05T11:24:11","modified_gmt":"2019-04-05T09:24:11","slug":"students-union-general-elections","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/hok\/en\/2019\/04\/04\/students-union-general-elections\/","title":{"rendered":"Students&#8217; Union General Elections"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/hok\/files\/2019\/03\/vote_casting-1024x577.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><strong>Dear Students!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Based on Semmelweis University\u2019s Students\u2019 Union\u2019s Constitution, the election of Students\u2019 Union officers is now open for mandates of Subunit President, Subunit Board Member, General Assembly (SU Congress) Member and Dormitory Subcommission Member, and has a due date for application as the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Nominating period of election from: 2019. March 27th. 8:00 a.m. &#8211; 2019. April 5th 3:00 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Handing in an adequate application &#8211; based on the application announcement &#8211; is required for running for mandate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Electoral Committee will decide the acceptance or the rejection of the applications.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">All applications from applicants running for the following mandates: General Assembly Member, Subunit President, Subunit Board Member and Dormitory Subcommission Member, must contain the following documents:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Application paper (At Students\u2019 Union Finance Office)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Paper proving contractual relationship with the University, no former than 15 days.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>CV<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Motivational letter<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Filled out declaration based on the SU\u2019s Constitution paragraph 42. (Request it at the finance office)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Written nomination from 2% of the students studying at the university holding an active status of their studies.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Electoral district means the individual faculties at which the applicant is running for mandate for<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>General Medicine Subunit board member, presidential candidature: 89 signatures<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Health Sciences Subunit board member, presidential candidature: 65 signatures<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Health and Public Services Subunit board member, presidential candidature: 10 signatures<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Dentistry Subunit board member, presidential candidature: 18 signatures<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Pharmacy Subunit board member, presidential candidature: 16 signatures<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Andr\u00e1s Pet\u0151 Faculty Subunit board member, presidential candidature: 6 signatures<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>General Assembly members need 210 signatures.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Those applying for Dormitory Subcommision member mandates, need to gather signatures from 25% of students living in the dormitory.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Balassa J\u00e1nos Dormitory Subcommission candidature: 92 signatures<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>sr. B\u00f3kay J\u00e1nos Dormitory Subcommission candidature: 14 signatures<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>K\u00e1tai G\u00e1bor Dormitory Subcommission candidature: 39 signatures<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Frigyes Kor\u00e1nyi College for Advanced Studies Subcommission candidature: 14 signatures<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Markusovszky Lajos Dormitory Subcommission candidature: 78 signatures<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Peto Andr\u00e1s Dormitory Subcommission candidature: 14 signatures<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Selye J\u00e1nos Dormitory Subcommission candidature: 15 signatures<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Office-holder\u2019s Declaration, stating that the total time in office &#8211; as a Students\u2019 Union Officer &#8211; does not exceed 4 years (request it at the Finance Office of the Students\u2019 Union), the applicant needs to sign every single application paper by hand.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>In case of presidential candidature for Subcommissions: election programme plan.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Every student at Semmelweis University, having an active status in their studies, who handed in an adequate application<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>In case of presidential candidature for Subcommissions, the active status needs to be from the faculty at which the applicant aspires to hold the presidential office. <\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>In case of \u00a0Dormitory Subcommissions the applicant must live at the dormitory.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Office starts, when the results of the election are finalized, and is finished with losing the mandate, resigning, or with the next reelection.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Subcommission president announces the elections based on SE SU\u2019s (<strong>except for the Faculty of Health Sciences<\/strong>) EC\u2019s (Electoral Committee) 14\/2019. (III.11) Committee Order.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">When being elected, the Subcommission Board Member gets a vote on the Subcommission\u2019s presidential election.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Maximum number of Mandates for General Assembly (SU Congress) Members is 12<\/strong>. (III.11) Committee Order.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In case of being elected as General Assembly Member, the applicant gets a vote on the SU\u2019s Presidential election.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Nominations can only be collected at the nominating papers stamped by SE Students\u2019 Union. The person nominating the candidate must be identifiable based on the signature.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Get your papers for the nomination signatures at the Students\u2019 Centre\u2019s Finance Office on Weekday from 7:00 a.m. &#8211; 3:00 p.m. (address: 1089 Budapest, Nagyv\u00e1rad sqr. 4.).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application is due on April 5th 2019 3:00 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Applications can be handed for the EC in person or by a trustee at the Students\u2019 Union\u2019s Office Nr. 3. during the nominating period.
