On<\/span> July<\/span> 7th, <\/span>the<\/span> Electoral<\/span> Assembly of <\/span>the<\/span> Semmelweis University <\/span>Students<\/span>\u2019 Union <\/span>gave<\/span> its<\/span> vote<\/span> of <\/span>confidence<\/span> to<\/span> GECSEY R\u00e9ka Csenge<\/span>, <\/span>as<\/span> such<\/span>, <\/span>she<\/span> will<\/span> succeed<\/span> Dr. <\/span>TRIPOLSZKY B\u00e1lint<\/span>\u00a0as<\/span> the<\/span> President<\/span> of H\u00d6K.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>former<\/span> President<\/span>, Dr. TRIPOLSZKY B\u00e1lint<\/a><\/span>\u00a0steps<\/span> down <\/span>from<\/span> his<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>position<\/span> as<\/span> the<\/span> President<\/span> of H\u00d6K <\/span>with<\/span> the<\/span> end of <\/span>his<\/span> studies<\/span> at<\/span> the<\/span> university<\/span>, <\/span>after<\/span> three<\/span> very<\/span> productive<\/span> years<\/span>. <\/span>He <\/span>fulfilled<\/span> this<\/span> role<\/span> in a <\/span>period<\/span> which<\/span>, <\/span>albeit<\/span> tough<\/span>, <\/span>was<\/span> also<\/span> very<\/span> influential<\/span>: <\/span>we<\/span> merely<\/span> have<\/span> to<\/span> think<\/span> of <\/span>the<\/span> situation<\/span> cau<\/span>sed<\/span> by<\/span> the<\/span> novel<\/span> coronavirus<\/span>, <\/span>or<\/span> the<\/span> numerous<\/span> changes<\/span> the<\/span> university<\/span>, and <\/span>student<\/span> life <\/span>within<\/span> it<\/span>, <\/span>went<\/span> under<\/span>.<\/span> He <\/span>formulated<\/span> the<\/span> following<\/span> thoughts<\/span> about<\/span> the<\/span> past<\/span> three<\/span> years<\/span>:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I felt <\/span>it<\/span> an <\/span>exceptional<\/span> honor<\/span> that<\/span> in <\/span>the<\/span> past<\/span> years<\/span>, <\/span>alongside<\/span> my<\/span> medical<\/span> studies<\/span>, I <\/span>was<\/span> given<\/span> the<\/span> opportunity<\/span> to<\/span> act<\/span> in <\/span>the<\/span> interests<\/span> of <\/span>the<\/span> university<\/span> and <\/span>the<\/span> students<\/span>. I am <\/span>wholeheartedly<\/span> thankful<\/span> for<\/span> the<\/span> shared<\/span> successes<\/span> of <\/span>the<\/span> past<\/span> three<\/span> years<\/span>, <\/span>the<\/span> support<\/span> of H\u00d6K <\/span>members<\/span> and <\/span>all<\/span> studen<\/span>ts<\/span>, <\/span>as<\/span> well<\/span> as<\/span> sorry<\/span> for<\/span> my<\/span> mistakes<\/span> and <\/span>errors<\/span> in <\/span>the<\/span> past<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He <\/span>also<\/span> sent<\/span> the<\/span> following<\/span> message<\/span> to<\/span> the<\/span> students<\/span> succeeding<\/span> the<\/span> currently<\/span> graduating<\/span> ones<\/span> in <\/span>the<\/span> union<\/span>, <\/span>himself<\/span> included<\/span>:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201e<\/span>I <\/span>believe<\/span> the<\/span> Assembly <\/span><\/a>chose<\/span> a <\/span>worthy<\/span> successor<\/span> as<\/span> a <\/span>leader<\/span> of <\/span>the<\/span> Students<\/span>\u2019 Union <\/span>in <\/span>electing<\/span> Csenge, <\/span>who<\/span> has <\/span>proven<\/span> her<\/span> aptitude<\/span> as<\/span> a vice-<\/span>president<\/span> in <\/span>the<\/span> past<\/span> few<\/span> years<\/span> with<\/span> her<\/span> exceptional<\/span> performance. <\/span>Con<\/span>gratulations<\/span> to<\/span> her<\/span>, and <\/span>the<\/span> newly<\/span> elected<\/span> vice-<\/span>presidents<\/span>, <\/span>members<\/span> of <\/span>the<\/span> Presidium<\/span>, and <\/span>good<\/span> luck<\/span> with<\/span> regards<\/span> to<\/span> their<\/span> future<\/span> work<\/span>! Go <\/span>students<\/span>, go H\u00d6K<\/a>!”<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>name<\/span> of GECSEY Csenge<\/span>\u00a0may<\/span> sound<\/span> familiar<\/span> to<\/span> many<\/span>, <\/span>she<\/span> studies<\/span> at<\/span> the<\/span> Faculty<\/span> of Health Sciences<\/span><\/a>, has <\/span>been<\/span> an <\/span>active<\/span> member<\/span> of <\/span>the<\/span> Students<\/span>\u2019 Union <\/span>for<\/span> four<\/span> years<\/span>, <\/span>where<\/span> so<\/span> far, <\/span>she<\/span> fulfilled<\/span> the<\/span> role<\/span> of vice-<\/span>president<\/span>. <\/span>Further<\/span>, <\/span>she<\/span> worked<\/span> as<\/span> the<\/span> chief<\/span> organizer<\/span> of <\/span>the<\/span> 50th <\/span>Medics<\/span>\u2019 <\/span>Cup<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>which<\/span> was<\/span> held<\/span> this<\/span> year<\/span>. <\/span>She<\/span> summarized<\/span> her<\/span> future<\/span> work<\/span> as<\/span> President<\/span> as<\/span> follows<\/span>:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>path<\/span> I <\/span>wish<\/span> to<\/span> set<\/span> is <\/span>one<\/span> where<\/span> we<\/span> develop<\/span> a <\/span>community<\/span> that\u2019s<\/span> close-knit<\/span>, <\/span>flexible<\/span> and <\/span>able<\/span> to<\/span> stimulate<\/span> development<\/span>, and I <\/span>envision<\/span> this<\/span> while<\/span> also<\/span> being<\/span> characterized<\/span> by<\/span> high-quality<\/span> representation<\/span> of <\/span>students<\/span>\u2019 <\/span>interests<\/span>, <\/span>conscious<\/span> planning<\/span>, <\/span>exemplary<\/span> problem-solving<\/span> skills<\/span>, <\/span>openness<\/span> and <\/span>diversity<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Csenge <\/span>discussed<\/span> her<\/span> plans<\/span> for<\/span> the<\/span> future<\/span> further<\/span>:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201e<\/span>In <\/span>my<\/span> experience<\/span>, <\/span>many<\/span> students<\/span> easily<\/span> get<\/span> lost<\/span> due<\/span> to<\/span> the<\/span> labyrinthine<\/span> nature<\/span> of <\/span>the<\/span> university<\/span>, and <\/span>our<\/span> main <\/span>task<\/span> is <\/span>to<\/span> help<\/span> and <\/span>support<\/span> them<\/span>. I <\/span>feel<\/span> like <\/span>there<\/span> is <\/span>both<\/span> an <\/span>opportunity<\/span> and a <\/span>need<\/span> for<\/span> improvement<\/span> on<\/span> every<\/span> l<\/span>evel<\/span>, an <\/span>important<\/span> goal<\/span> of <\/span>mine<\/span> is <\/span>to<\/span> make<\/span> students<\/span> feel<\/span> that<\/span> we\u2019re<\/span> always<\/span> backing <\/span>them<\/span> and <\/span>supporting<\/span> them<\/span> to<\/span> the<\/span> best<\/span> of <\/span>our<\/span> ability<\/span>.
\n<\/span><\/span>The <\/span>Students<\/span>\u2019 Union <\/span>underwent<\/span> a <\/span>massive<\/span> period<\/span> of <\/span>development<\/span> in <\/span>the<\/span> past<\/span> three<\/span> years<\/span>. I <\/span>wish<\/span> to<\/span> follow<\/span>\u00a0and <\/span>amplify<\/span> this<\/span> good<\/span> example<\/span> during<\/span> my<\/span> presiden<\/span>cy<\/span>.<\/span> I <\/span>feel<\/span> like <\/span>there\u2019s<\/span> an <\/span>extremely<\/span> eager<\/span> team backing <\/span>me<\/span>, <\/span>with<\/span> whom<\/span> we\u2019ll<\/span> do<\/span> everything<\/span> to<\/span> lead a <\/span>high-quality<\/span> organization<\/span> worthy<\/span> of <\/span>the<\/span> university\u2019s<\/span> reputation<\/span>. <\/span>It<\/span> is of <\/span>exceptional<\/span> importance<\/span> to<\/span> me<\/span> to<\/span> make<\/span> this<\/span> representative<\/span> body <\/span>able<\/span> to<\/span> work<\/span> closely<\/span> with<\/span> the<\/span> University\u2019s<\/span> leadership<\/span> on<\/span> the<\/span> development<\/span> of <\/span>education<\/span>, <\/span>while<\/span> keeping<\/span> students<\/span>\u2019 <\/span>interests<\/span> in mind.<\/span>\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We<\/span> hereby<\/span> wish<\/span> the<\/span> newly<\/span> elected<\/span> president<\/span> of <\/span>the<\/span> Students<\/span>\u2019 Union <\/span>productivity<\/span> in <\/span>her<\/span> work<\/span>, and <\/span>the<\/span> best<\/span> of <\/span>luck<\/span>!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
