Climbing the Bird is an old tradition of the medical students of the Semmelweis University. The students climb the so called „Bird” statue in the front of the Nagyv\u00e1rad t\u00e9ri Elm\u00e9leti T\u00f6mb (NET) every year. But before doing that they have to walk from the Corvin square towards the Nagyv\u00e1rad t\u00e9r and stop by every pub in their way and have a drink. This tradition represents that the students have successfully finished the first two academic years. You have to climb the statue on the steep\/hard side of it if you had got the best possible grades for all your second year exams.<\/strong><\/p>\n
