The Semmelweis University Students\u2019 Union\u2019s Election Officer, M\u00e1t\u00e9 Krebs, according to the\u00a0Statutes<\/a>, announced the election of the President of the Students\u2019 Union. The presidential election will take place because the student status of Acting President GECSEY R\u00e9ka Csenge will end at the end of June, and the mandate of the entire Presidium will expire with her.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to the\u00a0decision<\/a>, the Election Officer determined the following interval as the nomination period of the election:\u00a0June 16<\/strong>, 2025, 8:00 \u2013 June 24, 2025, 14:00<\/b><\/p>\n

The prerequisite for running for office is the submission of an application which corresponds to the decree.<\/p>\n

The decision to accept applications will be made by the Election Officer.<\/p>\n

The application must include:<\/b><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. an application form,<\/li>\n
  2. a certification of active student status regarding the 2nd semester of the 2024\/2025 academic year, issued no more than 15 days ago,<\/li>\n
  3. a CV,<\/li>\n
  4. a letter of motivation,<\/li>\n
  5. a\u00a0statement\/declaration<\/a>\u00a0made according to the Statutes\u2019s Article 24,<\/li>\n
  6. recommendation of 2% of the student body with an active student status (at least from 282 students, according to the decision<\/a>\u00a0of the Secretary),<\/li>\n
  7. an election program,\u00a0<\/li>\n
  8. as well as a\u00a0statement\/declaration<\/a>\u00a0that the applicant has been holding an office \u2013 accounting for time spent as an office-holder in all positions of the H\u00d6K \u2013 for no more than 4 years.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Every page of the application must be validated with the signature of the applicant. The application form and statements\/declarations must be filled in correctly.<\/p>\n

    Any student holding an active student status in Semmelweis University who submits a valid application before the end of the nomination period can be elected President of H\u00d6K.\u00a0<\/p>\n

    The election of the President is done indirectly, chosen from the applicants by the\u00a0members of the Delegates\u2019 Assembly<\/a>, who were elected by the students. The term of the President \u2013 unless the Assembly decrees otherwise \u2013 begins with their election and lasts until the beginning of the next President\u2019s term. The session to elect the President can convene on the 8th day after the last day of the nomination period at the earliest. For further rules, and understanding the details on the President\u2019s rights, responsibilities, and tasks, please consult the\u00a0Statutes<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    Recommendations may only be collected using a recommendation-collecting sheet stamped with the official seal of the SE H\u00d6K. It is exceedingly important to be able to determine the identity of the person giving the recommendation. Recommendations may be collected from the announcement of the election until the end of the nomination period.<\/p>\n

    Recommendation-collecting sheets and the application form may be received in the Economic Affairs Office of the H\u00d6K, in the NET Student Center on working days between 8:00-14:00 on Tuesday-Thursday, and between 8:00-12:00 on Friday (address: 1089 Budapest, Nagyv\u00e1rad t\u00e9r 4.)<\/p>\n

    The deadline for submitting applications is the end of the nomination period: June 24, 2025, 14:00.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Applications may be submitted to the Election Officer, in the Economic Affairs Office of the Student Center, either personally or through an agent during the nomination period. In the event that the application\u2019s submission is done through an agent, the application must have a private document of authorization, which is of complete probative value, attached to it.\u00a0<\/p>\n
