The exact dates will be determined by HMAA (shortly after the interview).<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the program is to facilitate the exchange of students as well as experience and knowledge between the involved medical universities. With this program the HMAA contributes and provides broad medical knowledge to young Hungarian physicians who are entering the Hungarian health care system.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This program is sponsored and managed by the Hungarian Medical Association of America, HMAA.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Students may take the following electives<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Neurology<\/li>\n<li>Child Neurology<\/li>\n<li>Obstetrics and Gynecology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please note that these electives are subject to availability at the time of the rotation.<\/p>\n<h3>Financing<\/h3>\n<h5>Students are expected to cover:<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Round trip air transportation<\/li>\n<li>Health insurance<\/li>\n<li>Medical liability (coordinated by HMAA) is appr. 300 USD for 2 months<\/li>\n<li>Meal costs (some Buffalo departments provide meal tickets for use in the hospital)<\/li>\n<li>Students accepted for the program will contribute to their housing in the amount of 550 USD per month (1100 USD total)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Financial Support (not provided by HMAA)<\/h3>\n<h3>Who can apply?<\/h3>\n<p>The program is opened to students with the<em>\u00a0Hungarian heritage<\/em>\u00a0of all Hungarian medical schools. Medical students who are in their 6th year of education at the beginning of\u00a0 September 2025.<\/p>\n<p><b>Only<\/b>\u00a0medical students\u00a0<b>with\u00a0<em>Hungarian heritage<\/em><\/b>\u00a0may apply from both the Hungarian and English language programs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Only HMAA<\/strong>\u00a0members can apply for the exchange program (membership is free for medical students, for further information visit the HMAA home page).<\/p>\n<p><b>Students must apply only to one location from the HMAA Exchange Programs! The exact dates will be determined by HMAA (shortly after the interview).<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the Program is to facilitate the exchange of medical students as well as expand the experience and knowledge between the involved medical universities.
