The exact dates will be determined by HMAA at the beginning of 2017.<\/p>\n<p>This program is sponsored and managed by the <strong>HUNGARIAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA, HMAA (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hmaa.org\">www.hmaa.org<\/a>.)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the Program is to facilitate the exchange of students as well as experience and knowledge between the involved medical universities. With this program the HMAA contributes and provides broad medical knowledge<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>to young Hungarian physicians who are entering the Hungarian health care system.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Students may take the following electives<\/strong>: Internal Medicine \u2013 Endocrinology; Pediatrics \u2013 Child Neurology; Neurosurgery; Neurology; Headache Medicine; Surgical Oncology; Medical Oncology; Neuroradiology\/Radiology; Gyn-Oncology; Obstetrics and Gynaecology; Surgery<\/p>\n<p>Please note that these electives are subject to availability at the time of the rotation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Financing:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students are expected to cover:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Round trip air transportation<\/li>\n<li>Cost of books, materials if required<\/li>\n<li>Health insurance<\/li>\n<li>Meal costs (some Buffalo departments provide meal tickets for use in the hospital)<\/li>\n<li>Medical liability (coordinated by HMAA) is appr. USD 300-400 for 3 months<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Student housing is provided by the HMAA in Buffalo. Please note that max. 4 students may participate at one particular rotation. Once you have given us your preferred rotation time (eg. September 2017) there is a limited possibility to change it later. All possible changes of rotation times are coordinated by Semmelweis University and HMAA Hungary Chapter.<\/p>\n<p>Selected applicants are encouraged to submit an application for financial support to the HAESF<\/p>\n<p>(Hungarian American Enterprize Scholarship Fund).
