Pooling scientific evidence quantitatively facilitates its use in clinical medicine,
health policy, and health economics. Performing meta-analysis is a skill required from professionals working in the area of health technology assessment. The course is problem-based; theory, concepts, and methods will be illustrated with exercises. Participants will acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to perform systematic literature reviews, meta-analyses, and network meta-analyses themselves. The last day of the course will highlight how the outputs of these analyses can be used
in health technology assessment.

Language: English only
Timing: Courses start at 9 AM, end at 4-5 PM
Skill requirements: Basic knowledge of statistics
and/or pharmaceutical R&D, familiarity with MS Excel.
Equipment requirements: own laptop, MS Excel

In case the COVID-19 pandemic requires additional restrictions in the buildings of Semmelweis
University and the courses cannot be organized in person, they will be held in a virtual format.
