Our collaboration dates back to Karolina\u2019s postdoctoral years at Lund University, where she worked closely with Janelle and colleagues on direct neural reprogramming. Since then, Janelle has established her own research group in Montr\u00e9al focusing on cellular models of aging and neurodegeneration, while our collaboration has continued to grow through shared projects and scientific exchange.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\" style=\"text-align: justify\">At the meeting, Janelle presented her talk, <em>\u201cModelling the aging\u2013Parkinson axis using patient-derived cellular systems,\u201d<\/em> while Karolina gave a presentation entitled <em>\u201cDirect Neural Reprogramming as a Cellular Model of Human Brain Aging and Neurodegeneration.\u201d<\/em> (<a href=\"https:\/\/met2026.hu\/index.php#SessionVI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/met2026.hu\/index.php#SessionVI<\/a>) Janelle also visited our laboratory at Semmelweis University, providing an excellent opportunity to discuss ongoing projects and future directions at the intersection of aging, Parkinson\u2019s disease, and human cellular reprogramming.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">We are grateful for this inspiring exchange of ideas and look forward to continuing our collaboration in the years ahead.
