The event was opened by our Institutes head Prof Zolt\u00e1n Beny\u00f3, Head of the Doctoral School, who highlighted that this year\u2019s event was the largest to date. He emphasized that each participant represents the future of their respective scientific fields. In total, 184 oral presentations and 294 posters were presented across 55 sections.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" data-start=\"976\" data-end=\"1081\">Our lab was well-represented throughout the event, with one or more of our members presenting each day.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\" data-start=\"1082\" data-end=\"1617\">\n<li data-start=\"1082\" data-end=\"1183\">\n<p data-start=\"1084\" data-end=\"1183\"><strong data-start=\"1084\" data-end=\"1093\">Kinga<\/strong> presented her <em data-start=\"1108\" data-end=\"1117\">FELL_HD<\/em> project, previously awarded as the most innovative PhD project.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1184\" data-end=\"1269\">\n<p data-start=\"1186\" data-end=\"1269\"><strong data-start=\"1186\" data-end=\"1194\">Anna<\/strong> shared results from her <em data-start=\"1219\" data-end=\"1228\">CAREiNG<\/em> project on the effects of cariprazine.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1270\" data-end=\"1353\">\n<p data-start=\"1272\" data-end=\"1353\"><strong data-start=\"1272\" data-end=\"1280\">Vivi<\/strong> presented her findings on novel compounds screened on induced neurons.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1354\" data-end=\"1463\">\n<p data-start=\"1356\" data-end=\"1463\"><strong data-start=\"1356\" data-end=\"1367\">Melinda<\/strong> showcased her poster on electrophysiological measurements in CD1+ mouse hippocampal cultures.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1464\" data-end=\"1550\">\n<p data-start=\"1466\" data-end=\"1550\"><strong data-start=\"1466\" data-end=\"1476\">Roland<\/strong> discussed his project on age-related alterations in neur<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1464\" data-end=\"1550\">\n<p data-start=\"1466\" data-end=\"1550\">onal autophagy.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1551\" data-end=\"1617\">\n<p data-start=\"1553\" data-end=\"1617\"><strong data-start=\"1553\" data-end=\"1563\">Bal\u00e1zs<\/strong> presented functional measurements in induced neurons.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" data-start=\"1619\" data-end=\"1950\">We are proud to share that several of our members received special recognition:<br data-start=\"1698\" data-end=\"1701\" \/><br \/>\n<strong data-start=\"1701\" data-end=\"1709\">Anna<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1714\" data-end=\"1724\">Roland<\/strong> were awarded the <em data-start=\"1742\" data-end=\"1778\">SE 250+ Excellence PhD Scholarship. <\/em>Additionally, <strong data-start=\"1845\" data-end=\"1857\">Bal\u00e1zs\u2019s<\/strong> poster earned <strong data-start=\"1872\" data-end=\"1923\">1st place in the Translational Medicine sectio<\/strong><strong style=\"font-size: 1rem\" data-start=\"1872\" data-end=\"1923\">n<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">\u2014a significant achievement!<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1619\" data-end=\"1950\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1494 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/hcemm-neurobiology\/files\/2025\/07\/IMG_20250708_163856_1-400x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1499 aligncenter\" style=\"font-size: 1rem\" src=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/hcemm-neurobiology\/files\/2025\/07\/Media-400x283.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"283\" srcset=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/hcemm-neurobiology\/files\/2025\/07\/Media-400x283.jpeg 400w, https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/hcemm-neurobiology\/files\/2025\/07\/Media-1024x725.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/hcemm-neurobiology\/files\/2025\/07\/Media-768x543.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/hcemm-neurobiology\/files\/2025\/07\/Media-1536x1087.jpeg 1536w, https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/hcemm-neurobiology\/files\/2025\/07\/Media-753x533.jpeg 753w, https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/hcemm-neurobiology\/files\/2025\/07\/Media.jpeg 1754w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From July 7\u20139, Semmelweis University\u2019s Doctoral School hosted the annual PhD Scientific Days at the Basic Medical Science Center, Translational Medicine Institute.
