{"id":770,"date":"2019-03-04T14:51:50","date_gmt":"2019-03-04T13:51:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/gyogyszereszeti-intezet\/?page_id=770"},"modified":"2019-07-04T09:15:56","modified_gmt":"2019-07-04T07:15:56","slug":"research","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/gyogyszereszeti-intezet\/en\/research\/","title":{"rendered":"Research"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"western\" align=\"justify\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>R &amp; D capabilities<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The staff of the Department has experiences during initial stages of product development to create an appropriate dosage form, matching the needs with the desired profile in drug delivery.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Some members of the staff worked at different pharmaceutical companies where they have gained experience in the manufacturing and testing of most pharmaceutical products.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Pharmaceutical technological research is complex, since beside the art of science and technology, it requires the knowledge of regulatory issues and industry practices.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The Analytical Laboratory is capable of preformulation, formulation, in-process, release, stability, compatibility and bioanalytical testing of drugs.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The Department of Pharmaceutics is capable of several research and development activities including:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">preformulation studies, such as determination of the physiochemical properties of drug substances<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">studies of drug-excipient interactions (incompatibility studies) for excipient selection<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">formulation and process development on laboratory scale<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">formulation stability testing<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">specialized dosage form development (modified release, dissolution\/solubility improvement)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The research team has experiences in the application of statistical experimental design (DOE) to find relationships eg. between physicochemical characteristics and delivery profile of the drug carrier systems.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>R &amp; D capabilities The staff of the Department has experiences during initial stages of product development to create an appropriate dosage form, matching the needs with the desired profile in drug delivery.
