A PCR vizsg\u00e1lattal meger\u0151s\u00edtett COVID-19 betegek esetk\u00e9nt ker\u00fcltek azonos\u00edt\u00e1sra, a kontroll csoportba ker\u00fcltek azok, akikn\u00e9l a PCR-vizsg\u00e1lat negat\u00edv eredm\u00e9nyt adott. Az elemz\u00e9sbe \u00f6sszesen 247 esetet \u00e9s 1073 kontrollt vontunk be. Elektronikus k\u00e9rd\u0151\u00edv seg\u00edts\u00e9g\u00e9vel inform\u00e1ci\u00f3t gy\u0171jt\u00f6tt\u00fcnk a COVID-19 elleni v\u00e9d\u0151olt\u00e1sokr\u00f3l, valamint tov\u00e1bbi jellemz\u0151kr\u0151l (pl. kor, kr\u00f3nikus betegs\u00e9gek stb.) majd az adatok elemz\u00e9sekor az eset \u00e9s a kontroll csoport k\u00f6z\u00f6tt \u00f6sszehasonl\u00edtottuk az \u00e1toltotts\u00e1got.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Az elemz\u00e9s eredm\u00e9nyei szerint a COVID-19 v\u00e9d\u0151olt\u00e1s eredm\u00e9nyess\u00e9g (CVE) a 60 \u00e9ves \u00e9s id\u0151sebb popul\u00e1ci\u00f3ban 56,8%, a fiatalabb feln\u0151ttek k\u00f6r\u00e9ben 2,3% volt. A SARS-COV-2 fert\u0151z\u00e9st az omikron alvari\u00e1nsok, els\u0151sorban a BA.5, BQ.1 \u00e9s XBB.1 okozt\u00e1k. A jelenlegi, ism\u00e9telt megbeteged\u00e9st megel\u0151z\u0151 60-365 napban jelentkez\u0151 COVID-19 megbeteged\u00e9s v\u00e9d\u0151olt\u00e1s n\u00e9lk\u00fcl nem ny\u00fajtott v\u00e9delmet az \u00fajrafert\u0151z\u0151d\u00e9ssel szemben, eml\u00e9keztet\u0151 olt\u00e1ssal egy\u00fctt azonban a 18-59 \u00e9vesek k\u00f6z\u00f6tt 63,0%-kal, a 60 \u00e9v feletti korcsoportban 87,6%-kal cs\u00f6kkentette a COVID-19 kock\u00e1zat\u00e1t (T\u00e1bl\u00e1zat). Ez igazolja a hibrid immunit\u00e1s el\u0151ny\u00e9t, azaz az olt\u00e1si kamp\u00e1nyok tov\u00e1bbra is meg kell c\u00e9lozz\u00e1k a kor\u00e1bban SARS-CoV-2 v\u00edrussal fert\u0151z\u00f6tt \u2013 k\u00fcl\u00f6n\u00f6sen a 60 \u00e9ves, vagy id\u0151sebb korcsoport\u00fa \u2013 szem\u00e9lyeket.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">* a term\u00e9szetes \u00faton \u00e9s az egy vagy t\u00f6bb d\u00f3zis\u00fa COVID-19 v\u00e9d\u0151olt\u00e1s \u00e1ltal szerzett immunit\u00e1s kombin\u00e1ci\u00f3ja.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000080\"><strong><u>Vaccine Effectiveness against GP-Attended Symptomatic COVID-19 and Hybrid Immunity among Adults in Hungary during the 2022\u20132023 Respiratory Season Dominated by Different SARS-CoV-2 Omicron Subvariants<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em>Judit Krisztina Horv\u00e1th <\/em>(National Laboratory for Health Security, Epidemiology and Surveillance Centre, Semmelweis University, 1085 Budapest, Hungary),<em><br \/>\n<\/em><em>Gerg\u0151 T\u00fari<\/em> (National Laboratory for Health Security, Epidemiology and Surveillance Centre, Semmelweis University, 1085 Budapest, Hungary),<em><br \/>\n<\/em><em>Katalin Krisztalovics <\/em>(National Laboratory for Health Security, Epidemiology and Surveillance Centre, Semmelweis University, 1085 Budapest, Hungary),<em><br \/>\n<\/em><em>Katalin Krist\u00f3f<\/em> (Institute of Laboratory Medicine, Clinical Microbiology Laboratory, Semmelweis University, 1085 Budapest, Hungary),<em><br \/>\n<\/em><em>Beatrix Oroszi <\/em>(National Laboratory for Health Security, Epidemiology and Surveillance Centre, Semmelweis University, 1085 Budapest, Hungary)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000080\"><strong><u>Abstract<br \/>\n<\/u><\/strong><\/span>In Hungary, both naturally acquired immunity gained from prior SARS-CoV-2 infection and hybrid immunity* are likely to play greater role due to the inequalities in vaccination coverage and may also affect the overall vaccine effectiveness.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The analysis was conducted during the 2022-2023 respiratory season, patients selected were individuals aged 18 years or older who attended general practitioner practices with symptoms of acute respiratory infection (ARI) and gave consent to participate. PCR laboratory-confirmed patients were identified as cases, and those with negative PCR test results were included in the control group. A total of 247 cases and 1073 controls were included in the analysis. An electronic questionnaire was used to collect information on COVID-19 vaccination status and other characteristics (e.g. age, chronic diseases, etc.) and then the data were analysed to compare vaccination coverage between the case and control groups.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The results showed that the COVID-19 vaccination effectiveness (CVE) was 56.8% in the population aged 60 years and older and 2.3% in younger adults. COVID-19 infection was caused by omicron sub-variants, mainly BA.5, BQ.1 and XBB.1. Self-reported COVID-19 in the 60\u2013365 days prior to the current illness did not confer protection against reinfection without vaccination, but with booster vaccination it reduced the risk of COVID-19 by 63.0% in the 18-59 age group and by 87.6% in the 60+ age group (Table).
