The ranking list has been developed on the basis of the number of scientific publications and that of citation indexes. Altogether nine Hungarian universities were listed in this recent ranking, out of which five were ranked among the best 800 higher-education institutions.<\/p>\n<p>During the preparation of the ranking list the employees of the University of Ankara surveyed 3000 institutions worldwide. In the ranking list prepared on the basis of the amount and quality of scientific publications altogether 2000 higher-education institutions are listed. Out of the Hungarian universities the following higher-education institutions were ranked: E\u00f6tv\u00f6s Lor\u00e1nd University as the 586<sup>th<\/sup>, Semmelweis University as the 604<sup>th<\/sup>, the University of Debrecen as the 620<sup>th<\/sup>, the University of Szeged as the 662<sup>nd<\/sup>, Budapest University of Technology and Economics as the 775<sup>th<\/sup>, the University of P\u00e9cs as the 905<sup>th<\/sup>, Szent Istv\u00e1n University as the 1533<sup>rd<\/sup>, Central European University as the 1655<sup>th<\/sup> and Corvinus University as the 1821<sup>st<\/sup>.
