He was accompanied by a delegation, which included Dean of External Affairs Yongjin Park, and Dean of the College of Medicine Woo Hyun Park.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The visit\u2019s main objective was to deepen relations between the two institutions, in accordance with the memorandum of understanding which had been signed in February of this year. In pursuit of this goal, the South Korean delegation met with Rector Tivadar Tulassay, Mikl\u00f3s Kellermayer (Vice-Rector for Education and International Affairs), Istv\u00e1n Kar\u00e1di (Dean of Medicine) and Andr\u00e1s Matolcsy (Director of the 1st Department of Pathology and Experimental Cancer Research).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-862\" title=\"Delegation from Keimyung University visits Semmelweis University\" src=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2010\/07\/keimyung-latogatas-2-kep-1024x397.png\" alt=\"Delegation from Keimyung University visits Semmelweis University\" width=\"550\" height=\"214\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">At the meeting, President Ilhi Synn affirmed Keimyung University\u2019s desire to develop a comprehensive cooperative program with Semmelweis University, which may include scientific research initiatives and exchange programs for faculty and students.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Proclaiming his own university\u2019s interest in establishing stronger relations, Rector Tivadar Tulassay offered to invite two Keimyung research professors per year in order to promote scientific consultation and exchange.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">As a highlight of their visit to Budapest, Mikl\u00f3s R\u00e9thelyi, Minister of National Resources received the South Korean guests for a courtesy call.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">(Translated by Gina G\u00f6nczi)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Ilhi Synn, President of South Korea\u2019s Keimyung University, visited Semmelweis University on 13 July 2010.
