\"RS38447_TZ_20151114_033-scr\"<\/a>More than a hundred participants from seventeen countries attended the International Conference on Advances in the Area of Bioequivalence about the latest achievements of the pharmaceutical science, trends in generic medicine and current issues of bioequivalence.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is a \u201ctwo-in-one\u201d event as it focuses on bioequivalence, biosimilarity, bioanalytics and the development of pharmaceutical technologies, as well as the regulatory background of the pharmaceutical industry by discussing regulations, guidance and the latest issues of medicine registration.\u201d, Dr. Imre Klebovich, professor of Semmelweis University\u2019s Department Pharmaceutics, co-chair of the event and president of the Standing Committee of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Hungarian Academy of Science said in his opening speech.<\/p>\n

\"RS38451_TZ_20151114_059-scr\"<\/a>Dr. Ferenc B\u00e1nhidy, Vice-Rector for General Affairs also greeted the participants.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is our honour to welcome Dr. A. Atilla Hincal and Dr. Panos Macheras, members of the conference\u2019s international scientific advisory board, who had been conferred the title Doctor Honoris Causa of Semmelweis University two days prior this event.\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

\"RS38443_TZ_20151114_022-scr\"<\/a>On behalf of the National Institute of Pharmacy and Nutrition the participants were welcomed by Dr. Hilda Szalai. Dr. \u00c9va Sz\u00f6k\u0151, president of the Hungarian Society for Pharmaceutical Sciences , Dr. Erem Bilensoy, president of the European Federation for Pharmaceutical Sciences (EUFEPS) and foreign co-chairs of the conference, Dr. L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Endr\u00e9nyi from Canada and Dr. Vinod P. Shah from the USA gave short speeches at the event.<\/p>\n

\"RS38464_TZ_20151114_167-scr\"<\/a>The international conference hosted 16 plenary lectures and two panel discussions, which involved healthcare authorities from five countries.<\/p>\n
