Semmelweis University was represented by Dr. Istv\u00e1n Vingender, Vice-Dean of Educational Affairs at the Faculty of Health Sciences. In his speech he recalled the history of the cooperation between the two institutions and mentioned that the Swiss university was visited by two members of the Hungarian Accreditation Committee in February. He emphasized the importance of the academic year 2015\/2016 as it is the 150<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of the death of Ign\u00e1c Semmelweis and the 40<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of the foundation of the Faculty of Health Sciences.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2015\/10\/JillStudio-235.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-6388 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2015\/10\/JillStudio-235-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"JillStudio-235\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2015\/10\/JillStudio-235-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2015\/10\/JillStudio-235-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2015\/10\/JillStudio-235-450x300.jpg 450w, https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2015\/10\/JillStudio-235.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>The welcome addresses were followed by a scientific lecture on the relationship between rehabilitation and technological advancements presented by a professor from LUDES University.<\/p>\n<p>Semmelweis University\u2019s Faculty of Health Sciences launched the off-campus BSc programme for physiotherapists in English in 2009 in Lugano.
