{"id":5431,"date":"2014-12-14T09:35:01","date_gmt":"2014-12-14T08:35:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/?p=5431"},"modified":"2022-10-19T10:30:56","modified_gmt":"2022-10-19T08:30:56","slug":"semmelweis-university-is-to-join-two-international-collaborations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/2014\/12\/semmelweis-university-is-to-join-two-international-collaborations\/","title":{"rendered":"Semmelweis University is to Join Two International Collaborations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/health\/programme\/policy\/index_en.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Third European Health Programme<\/a> (2014\u20132020) supports healthcare initiatives of member states by promoting co-operation within the framework of Joint Actions and granting a 18.6 million-euro co-financing.<\/p>\n<p>The implementation of Joint Actions is expected to be launched in 2015 and will be realised in eight priority areas of the health policy of the European Union. One of the areas of major importance is the establishment and expansion of a European information database of rare diseases to which Semmelweis University accedes under the direction of Dr. M\u00e1ria Judit Moln\u00e1r, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs. Another significant initiative is the support of the eHealth Network, to be realised with the participation of Semmelweis University co-ordinated by Dr. Mikl\u00f3s Sz\u00f3cska, director of the Health Services Management Training Centre.<a href=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2014\/12\/3rd_health_1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5432\" src=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2014\/12\/3rd_health_1.jpg\" alt=\"3rd_health_1\" width=\"1024\" height=\"550\" srcset=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2014\/12\/3rd_health_1.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2014\/12\/3rd_health_1-300x161.jpg 300w, https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2014\/12\/3rd_health_1-558x300.jpg 558w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The European Commission issued a letter of invitation to the respective authorities of each member state asking them to nominate the institutions taking part in the collaborations. In Hungary the institutions entitled to participation were appointed by the Ministry of Human Capacities following a transparent selection procedure. The Rare Diseases Joint Action is implemented by a partnership of nearly fifty members &#8211; Semmelweis University is one of the three Hungarian institutions besides the National Institute for Health Development (OEFI) and the University of P\u00e9cs.
