In November 2025, Levente B\u00e9la V\u00e1g\u00f3, Deputy Director of the Directorate of International Relations and Alumni Affairs at Semmelweis University, visited Qilu Institute of Technology in Jinan, China, to advance institutional collaboration and explore new opportunities in medical education and scientific research.<\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a>Qilu Institute of Technology, located in Shandong Province, is one of China\u2019s leading provincial universities, known for its strengths in engineering, life sciences, and applied medical education. The university integrates research, innovation, and industry cooperation and has been actively expanding its international partnerships in recent years, particularly in the fields of biomedical sciences and healthcare technologies.<\/p>\n

During the visit, Levente B\u00e9la V\u00e1g\u00f3 had a meeting with Vice President Shan Chengjuan, Professor Ding Hailing, Executive Dean of the School of Medicine, Professor Li Hao, Associate Dean, and Ding Lei, Director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation. Discussions focused on the development of joint educational programs, student and faculty exchange initiatives, and research collaborations in areas of mutual interest.<\/p>\n

The meeting resulted in a shared commitment to deepen cooperation between the two universities, aiming to jointly nurture globally minded, clinically skilled, and research-driven healthcare professionals. As part of the visit, Levente B\u00e9la V\u00e1g\u00f3 toured Qilu Institute\u2019s Stomatology Center, the Experimental Center of Basic Medical Sciences, and the Electronic Information Science Platform, where he gained insight into the university\u2019s teaching and research capacities. This visit reflects Semmelweis University\u2019s broader commitment to expanding its presence and academic cooperation in East Asia, where it has already established partnerships with leading universities in China, including Sun Yat-sen University<\/a> and Zhejiang Chinese Medical University<\/a>. These relationships support Semmelweis\u2019 long-term internationalization strategy, fostering exchange, innovation, and knowledge transfer on a global scale.<\/p>\n
