The award aims to recognize the profound impact journalists have on healthcare and the well-being of communities worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>Journalists are invited to submit their stories on women\u2019s health and pharmaceutical strategies and innovation published between <strong>January 1<sup>st<\/sup> 2024 and February 28<sup>th<\/sup> 2025<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These may include stories that help raise awareness, are about certain stigmatized diseases within society, cultivate open social discourse, and\/or ultimately lead to improved treatment and understanding.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Submission Requirements<\/strong>:<\/h4>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 &#8211; Participants can submit up to two entries, each in a separate category.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 &#8211; All entries must have been published between <strong>January 1<sup>st<\/sup> 2024 and February 28<sup>th<\/sup> 2025<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 &#8211; Entries must consist of a scanned version of the article for print publications, or a publicly accessible link leading to the article in case of online publication, or a screenshot in case of paid online content.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 &#8211; Entries must be in English or translated into English. (For languages other than English, the original must be enclosed as well).<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 &#8211; Entries must be submitted electronically through our website: <a href=\"https:\/\/semmelweisrichteraward.com\/\">https:\/\/semmelweisrichteraward.com\/\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Prizes:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The award fund is \u20ac45,000. Prizes for the categories are as follows: \u20ac10,000 (first place), \u20ac7,500 (second place), and \u20ac5,000 (third place). He has taught at academies throughout the world and is an experienced keynote speaker and advisor to festivals and institutions. A graduate of Semmelweis University, he is full professor and Head of the Ob\/Gyn Department of the Faculty of Medicine at Semmelweis University, as well as President of the Hungarian Society of Obstetricians and Gyneacologists. Prof. Acs also holds a Ph.D. degree and an MBA in health economics. She has published around 450 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and international books with around 26500 citations (HF Google Scholar 87). A frequent speaker at global conferences on women\u2019s health. A former president of International Society for the Study of Women Sexual Health (ISSWSH), she currently serves on the advisory boards the International Society of Gynecological Endocrinology (ISGE) and of the International Academy of Human Reproduction (IAHR) and is President of the International Menopause Society (IMS). He is an internationally recognized leader in pharmacology and neuroscience who has received several awards and prizes. He was a Riker Fellow at the Department of Pharmacology of the University of Oxford from 1967 to 1969, where he worked alongside Sir William Paton. From 1989 to 2002 Director of the Institute of Experimental Medicine (IEM) of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. President of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences between 2002 and 2008. He was visiting professor at the universities of Mainz and Parma. He also taught at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University (Montefiore Medical Center) as a visiting professor since 1984. He served as the state secretary in charge of taxation and the financial sector at the Ministry for National Economy for two and a half years, followed by a year spent at Banque Rothschild where he worked as a consultant. He earned his MA degree at the Budapest University of Economics and studied also in the United States. Richter&#8217;s Director of Corporate Strategy since September 2016, Chief Operating Officer since 2017. He focuses on non-pharmacological heart failure treatment, interventional cardiology techniques, cardiac imaging, arrhythmias, acute coronary syndromes, and sports cardiology, including elite athlete heart remodeling. He pioneered and advanced several minimally invasive, endovascular, catheter-based interventions. Under his leadership, the V\u00e1rosmajor Heart and Vascular Centre became internationally recognized and a leading training center. He is a member of nearly all major national and international scientific societies related to cardiology, arythmias and pacemakers, interventional cardiology, circulatory research.
