Amendments to the regulations on clinical research have been adopted and the Senate also decided on changes to the curricula of the Faculty of Medicine (\u00c1OK) and the Faculty of Pharmacy (GYTK). A new optional course is launched called Health and Science Communication I-II.<\/div>\n<div lang=\"en-US\">\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">A decision was taken to amend the <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">Organizational and Operational Rules (SZMSZ)<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">. In this context:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle\">\n<li><span lang=\"en-US\">the rules o<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">f<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> the scholarship from own resources have been changed, to include students who <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">participate <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">in a course abroad or<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">gani<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">z<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">ed by a professional organi<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">z<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">ation, and the <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">scholarship<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> will also be available as an additional subsidy.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-US\">t<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">he Semmelweis University B52 Limited Liability Company has been included, with Semmelweis University acquiring 100% of the shares.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-US\">transitional provisions have been introduced to clarify the rules on <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">academic<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> obligations <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">of<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> the Doctoral Regulations, which were adopted by the Senate at its May meeting and have been in force since 3 June, in order to <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">apply them <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">in the ascending system.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-US\">t<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">he internal organi<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">z<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">ational structure of the Directorate General <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">of<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> Human Resources <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">has been <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">also modified.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The Senate also decided to amend certain provisions of the <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">Organi<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">z<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">ational and Operational Rules <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">concerning the employment requirements. <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">Pursuant to <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">the amendment, only those who have obtained a doctorate and meet the other conditions may be appointed as assistant professors for an indefinite period. Assistant professors who do not hold a doctorate may be appointed for an indefinite period of two years, renewable for a further three years. The aim of this provision is to motivate the early acquisition of degrees and to increase the number of qualified teachers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The proposal on the regulation of teleworking was adopted, according to which <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">remote <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">working <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">can be carried out <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">in individual cases, with the prior permission of the Rector, the Chancellor or the President of the Clinical Centre, it must be specified in the employment contract, its justification must be reviewed annually and the employer may terminate it at any time by unilateral action. The employment contract shall stipulate that during teleworking the employee must be available during working hours and work under appropriate working conditions. The aim of the regulation is to ensure that the home office is applied <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">according to <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">uniform principles <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">within<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> the university.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The Senate has discussed and decided on the amendment of certain provisions of the Remuneration and Benefits Regulation related to reclassification. Accordingly, the weighted grade point average for the transfer to self-financed courses is 2.5 for the academic year 2021\/2022 and 2022\/2023, which means more favorable conditions for students.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The Senate approved the proposal to amend the <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">r<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">ules of <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">p<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">rocedure of the Clinical Centre. This transfers the previous Senate decisions to the <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">r<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">ules of <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">p<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">rocedure of the Clinical Centre.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">Amendment<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">s<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> to the regulations on clinical trials were also a<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">dopted. <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">Under the new regulation, the Directorate o<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">f<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> Health Management and Development, under the Directorate General for Medical Sciences, will be responsible for <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">the <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">coordinati<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">on of<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> clinical trials at the University. Under the change, a block coordinator role has been defined and Semmelweis Health Ltd. may be given the opportunity to enter as a contributor by providing service<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">s<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> related to the <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">trials<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">. The procedures for preparing, commenting and signing the contract were clarified, maintaining the good practice of the past. The requirement to record data in real time in MedSol has been introduced. Among other things, the clinics&#8217; share <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">has been changed <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">(increased) <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">regarding the <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">fees <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">of the trials<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">, and the contracting rates have also been modified.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">A decision was taken to amend the curriculum of the medical education <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">at the <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">Faculty of Medicine (<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00c1OK<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">), introducing three compulsory <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">optional<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> subjects: disaster medicine was reinstated in the curriculum, as well as medical terminology and Hungarian medical language. A decision has also been <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">made<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> on the subject requirements of the \u00c1OK for the 2022\/2023 academic year, which <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">includes <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">the details of the implementation of the curriculum.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The Senate approved the new syllabus of the Faculty of Pharmacy (GYTK) to be introduced in the academic year 2022\/2023, as well as the proposal to amend the existing <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">model <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">syllabus. The new model curriculum was justified by the modification of the qualification and outcome requirements, as well as the study and examination regulations. In addition, the experiences of the curriculum reform and student feedback were taken into account. The changes mainly concern the distribution of the teaching load and aim to reduce drop-out rates. To this end, the formerly elective <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">subject<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> &#8220;<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">Physical f<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">undamentals of biophysics&#8221; will now be made compulsory in <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">the 1<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">st<\/span> <span lang=\"en-US\">semester; the six-month internship before the final exam <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">can be completed<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> in public and hospital pharmac<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">ies<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">; and the theoretical and practical courses in one subject will be merged and made single-subject.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">A decision has been taken to change the four training supervisors at the Institute of Mental Health at the Faculty of Health <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">and Public Administration<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The Senate adopted the <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">Employee<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> Regulations. The amendment of the regulations was justified by the new Employee Council established in January 2022, and by the change in the <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">legal <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">status of university citizens and the change of model.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">According<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> to the Senate&#8217;s decision, a new elective course will be launched under the name Health and Science Communication I-II. The two-semester course, which will be taught in Hungarian, will serve to establish and integrate science communication training into the university&#8217;s educational system, thus ensuring that university results are communicated in a way that is understandable to the lay public and that also strengthens the institution&#8217;s position in the society.
