Zsuzsanna Urbancsok, who graduated summa cum laude, made the request for the conferment on behalf of the pharmacy students. After the oath was taken, Rector \u00c1goston Sz\u00e9l and Outgoing Dean B\u00e9la Nosz\u00e1l formally accepted the students as doctors of pharmacy.\u00a0 Dr. Istv\u00e1n Klinghammer, minister of state for higher education, was also present at the ceremony.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Torabi Seyedeh Zamzam gave an address on behalf of the international students emphasising that, having reached the end of a long road, they are now standing in the gateway of something entirely new. She also thanked her teachers, parents, and Semmelweis University.<\/p>\n<p><a style=\"color: #ff4b33;line-height: 24px;font-size: 16px\" href=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/news\/3213\/119-pharmacy-students-receive-their-degrees\/madach-theatre\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3215\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-3215 alignright\" alt=\"madach theatre\" src=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2013\/07\/madach-theatre-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2013\/07\/madach-theatre-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2013\/07\/madach-theatre-60x60.jpg 60w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In his speech, Dean B\u00e9la Nosz\u00e1l highlighted that more than 520 applicants applied for the Faculty\u2019s 150 available state-funded places, and that Semmelweis University\u2019s Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences is the only higher educational institution in the world that offers pharmacy studies in two foreign languages. He also added that the Faculty\u2019s laboratory equipment is such that no Western-European or American university would be ashamed of owning it. In his concluding remarks, Dr. \u00c1goston Sz\u00e9l offered the students a quote from Goethe, which states that parents can give two things to their children: roots and wings.
