The main symptoms are pain in the masticatory muscles, restricted opening of the mouth, and\/or a clicking\/cracking sound of the jaw. But look no further, here is a short jaw exercise-video to ease your pain!\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Dr. Peter Schmidt, chief clinical physician at the\u00a0Department of Prosthodontics at the Budapest Semmelweis University said:\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Healthy mouth movements are easily recognisable &#8211; when there are no restrictions in the opening of the mouth, and the jaw is moving in a straight line up and down. However, if the jaw moves at a different angle, for example in an \u201es\u201d or \u201ec\u201d shape, or if there is not a 35-40 mm distance between the lower and upper incisors when the mouth is in an opened position \u2013 then it\u2019s always worth consulting a doctor.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2022\/03\/allkapocstorna01-753x424-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-30377 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2022\/03\/allkapocstorna01-753x424-1-400x225.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2022\/03\/allkapocstorna01-753x424-1-400x225.png 400w, https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2022\/03\/allkapocstorna01-753x424-1.png 753w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Experts at Semmelweis University put together a short sequence of exercises for those patients recommended jaw-exercise therapy.
