Held in Slovakian, the postgraduate programme was organised jointly with the Slovakian Health Management Academy. The first students of the programme commenced their studies in 2010.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2945\" title=\"Graduation ceremony\" src=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2013\/01\/Graduation-ceremony2_640px.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2013\/01\/Graduation-ceremony2_640px.jpg 640w, https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2013\/01\/Graduation-ceremony2_640px-300x137.jpg 300w, https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2013\/01\/Graduation-ceremony2_640px-400x183.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In his ceremonial address, Dr. Mikl\u00f3s Sz\u00f3cska, state secretary for Health and former dean of the Faculty of Health and Public Administration, told the graduates that they had made the right choice, for if they listen to the news coming from the European Union and the United States, then they know that health care is a highly controversial area. There are many problems while at the same time, healing is such a satisfying mission, that the new graduates have a lifelong of rather intensive work ahead of them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Dr. P\u00e9ter Ga\u00e1l, dean of the Faculty, spoke about the history of the collaboration between the Health Services Management Training Centre (HSMTC) and the Health Management Academy (HMA). As he recalled, the HSMTC\u2019s brochures always start the introduction of their institution with the following: \u201cIn 1990, we had an idea\u2026and we established health services management education in Hungary.\u201d It is, however, a lesser known fact that it had been our goal from the beginning to include the experts from neighbouring countries in this mission, to share our experiences, and help one another, he added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The diplomas were presented to the new graduates by Peter Pa\u017eitn\u00fd on behalf of the HMA, and by Dr. P\u00e9ter Ga\u00e1l on behalf of the HSMTC.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">P\u00e1lma Dobozi<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Translated by Gina Varga-G\u00f6nczi<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Photos by Bal\u00e1zs D.
