The memorial medal was presented to dr. Seb\u0151k, Chief Pharmacist of the Clinical Center at the 23rd Congress of Hospital Pharmacists.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<p>Dr. Szilvia Seb\u0151k has been working at Semmelweis University since 2010. Initially she worked as head of the department which is responsible for providing medicine, disinfectants and bandages for Semmelweis University. <br \/>\nSince 1st August 2020 she has been Chief Pharmacist, managing the entire drug supply of the university. Her extraordinary dedication, tireless efforts and her capacity to identify key points inspire everyone around her. She has also been assisting the professional organization of Semmelweis University.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-28892 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2021\/11\/RS141546_C19A5051-scr-900x600-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2021\/11\/RS141546_C19A5051-scr-900x600-1.jpg 900w, https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2021\/11\/RS141546_C19A5051-scr-900x600-1-400x267.jpg 400w, https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2021\/11\/RS141546_C19A5051-scr-900x600-1-753x502.jpg 753w, https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2021\/11\/RS141546_C19A5051-scr-900x600-1-203x135.jpg 203w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201c I don\u2019t work for recognition, but it feels great that my long-time efforts and professional work in clinical and hospital pharmacy have been recognized with the prestigious D\u00e1vid Lajos medal\u201d \u2013 said dr. Szilvia Seb\u0151k.<\/p>\n<p>After her graduation in 2006 she found a job as a hospital pharmacist. Later on she took a small detour and worked in the public pharmacy sector, however she missed working in the hospital. Clinical and hospital pharmacy are somewhat similar to public pharmacy, as both aim to help patients. Clinical pharmacists work together in a team to assist physicians and healthcare professionals in order to provide the most appropriate drug therapy for patients.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This way we can directly take part in the actual treatment of patients&#8221; \u2013 said dr.
