The certificates were presented at the Ceremony Hall of the Theoretical Block at Nagyv\u00e1rad t\u00e9r to the graduates of master’s studies (Social work and Interdisciplinary family studies) and specialist trainings (Lactation consultant, Integrated parent-infant consultant, Social and family mediation) of the Institute of Mental Health. 134 diplomas were handed out during the joint ceremony celebrating the graduates of the 5 trainings of the Institute of Mental Health.<\/div>\n

\"\"Dr. Be\u00e1ta D\u00e1vid, vice dean of the Faculty of Health and Public Administration, director of the Institute of Mental Health talked about the importance of personal relations and safety at work. She noted that during this unpredictable and uncertain pandemic situation we all need the safety of personal relations. She added: besides personal relations, the possibility of working can strengthen the individual’s sense of security. We should also take time to reflect on how we cope with the current crisis situation. Is it about experience or survival?\u00a0 Are we able to face the situation and most importantly, are we able to identify, respect and maintain our resources? \u2013 asked dr. Be\u00e1ta D\u00e1vid and she quoted Simone Weil: “We must learn to long for what is\u00a0ours.”<\/p>\n

She added that the majority of the students attending the ceremony had to complete their studies facing difficulties on a daily basis in healthcare and the social sector \u2013 one the most challenging fields in healthcare.<\/p>\n

The director’s speech was followed by the awarding ceremony and a musical performance by saxophonist S\u00e1ndor Zsemlye and pianist K\u00e1roly G\u00e1sp\u00e1r. The “Embert\u00e1rs” award (established in 2010) has been awarded to Katalin Jeney-Tauzer from the Social worker MA graduating class of 2018-2020, in recognition of her outstanding academic achievement and for her commitment to the profession. Another recognition was given to Andr\u00e1s P\u00e1rk\u00e1nyi from the class graduating this year. The award for “Early childhood mental health” has been granted for Viktor G\u00f3cs, who graduated from the class of 2018-2020 of the Integrated Parent-Infant Consultant training. Zs\u00f3fia Gaul (lactation consultant class of 2018-2021) has been awarded with a Joan Scott prize in recognition of her outstanding work as a lactation consultant in the area supporting infants, children and their families and for her hard work in the student community.<\/p>\n

Following the commitment ceremony 24 “Social work” MA students from the class 2018-2020 received their diplomas along with the 23 students graduating this year. 17 students got their master’s degree in Interdisciplinary family studies. Furthermore, 25 lactation consultants, 22 integrated parent-infant consultants and 23 social and family mediation professionals received their degrees.<\/p>\n
