In the closing episode of the first season of KliniKaland, these questions are also answered by Semmelweis University\u2019s animated short film, which explains every important detail from clinical testing to side effects to herd immunity.<\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">When a new vaccine is developed and found to be effective in animal experiments, <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">it<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> must go through a multi-stage clinical trial for our safety to <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">exclude<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> possible serious <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">side effects<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> and to prove the effectiveness of the vaccine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">In the case of<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> vaccine candidates, testing, <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">that is to say <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">the clinical trial, always consists of three strictly controlled phases, followed by <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">a <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">follow-up of <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">the <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">already approved vaccines.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The animated short film entitled Vaccinations Part 2 \u2013 From Clinical Testing to Herd Immunity can be viewed here:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"MEDventure: Vaccines II \u2013 Safety?
