{"id":25533,"date":"2021-04-17T15:27:53","date_gmt":"2021-04-17T13:27:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/?p=25533"},"modified":"2022-10-19T10:38:48","modified_gmt":"2022-10-19T08:38:48","slug":"online-forum-on-phd-and-academic-opportunities-for-international-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/2021\/04\/online-forum-on-phd-and-academic-opportunities-for-international-students\/","title":{"rendered":"Online forum on PhD and academic opportunities for international students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Center for Education of International Studies (CEIS) launched a program series for international students which introduces them to the scientific world and presents academic opportunities at Semmelweis University.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The first online lecture held by Professor Szabolcs V\u00e1rb\u00edr\u00f3 about thesis writing was followed by more than 200 students and the uploaded lecture has been watched by many others since.<\/p>\n<p>In our second forum, Semmelweis University&#8217;s School of PhD Studies will be introduced and the Students&#8217; Scientific Association&#8217;s Committee will participate as well, who will go through the steps to help students start a scientific career.<\/p>\n<p>The president of the Doctoral Council will give comprehensive information about PhD studies at Semmelweis University highlighting the most important steps to get students started. This be will followed by an open discussion where students can ask questions from the president of the Doctoral Council, but also from the Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, the Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, the deans, the president of the TDK council and from the president of the Doctoral Students\u2019 Union as well.<\/p>\n<p>Confirmed board members of this forum are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dr. Al\u00e1n Alp\u00e1r, vice- rector for international affairs<\/li>\n<li>Dr. P\u00e9ter Ferdinandy, vice-rector for science and innovation<\/li>\n<li>Dr. Zolt\u00e1n Beny\u00f3, president of the Doctoral Council<\/li>\n<li>Dr. Mikl\u00f3s Kellermayer, dean of the Faculty of Medicine<\/li>\n<li>Dr. G\u00e1bor Gerber, dean of the Faculty of Dentistry<\/li>\n<li>Dr. Istv\u00e1n Antal, dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences<\/li>\n<li>Dr. Attila Szijart\u00f3, president of the Students\u2019 Scientific Association Council<\/li>\n<li>Dr. Szabolcs Bozs\u00e1nyi, Doctoral Students\u2019 Union<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The forum will be held online on <strong>21 April 2021<\/strong> at <strong>5 p.m.<\/strong>, via Zoom.
