What is immune memory? How do vaccines help fight? What can we do to strengthen our immune system? Th<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">ese are the questions that will be answered by<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> the second part of the KliniKaland animation series produced by Semmelweis University\u2019<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">s Directorate of<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> Communication.<\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Immunity can develop in our body in several ways: some of our protection is born with us, while another <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">part of it<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> is acquired during our lives. With each disease <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">that <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">we defeat, our immune system <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">is strengthened<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">, this is called spontaneously acquired immunity. <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">Mean<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">while vaccines (such as those against COVID-19) <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">provide<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> us <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">with a <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">so-called artificially acquired immunity. The short film reveals the role of lymphocytes, what cytokines are and how a cytokine storm develops.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"fontos_div\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Another <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">part<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> of the animated, educational film series, which help to maintain conscious health, presents the main components of our <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">body<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">&#8216;s defense system in an understandable and entertaining, but professionally authentic way.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The short film entitled Immune System can be viewed here:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3EDFvOIA3lY\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-US\" style=\"text-align: justify\">The animated film was made by the film team of the Directorate of Communication and Event Management of Semmelweis University (animation: Bettina G\u00e1l).
