What does baby crying warn of? What do newborns see, hear, and feel in the first hour<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">s <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">of <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">their<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> life? What does abdominal pain warn you about? Infant movement development for babies <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">of 0-6 months\u2019 age<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> led by physiotherapists. <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">Infant and Child Basic Resuscitation Demo<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">nstration<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> &#8211; <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">t<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">hese were the most popular p<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">resentations<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> o<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">f<\/span> <span lang=\"en-US\">Semmelweis <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">Health Day<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">s<\/span> <span lang=\"en-US\">held <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">on <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">25 <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">March. <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">The presentations of the <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">residential and public health program <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">series<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> of Semmelweis University <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">c<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">elebrating its 250th anniversary were available to view and listen to online, <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">via<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> Zoom.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Particular attention was paid to presentations <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">about<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> children\u2019s nutrition. Dr. Zs\u00f3fia G\u00e1cs, <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">teaching a<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">ssistant at the <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">2<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">nd<\/span> <span lang=\"en-US\">Department of Pediatrics showed how to avoid the development of childhood obesity. <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">Krisztina Czuppon, dietitian at the 2<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">nd<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> Department of Pediatrics <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">talked about proper dieting and a new Hungarian nutritional recommendation, \u201c<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">Clever plate<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u201d. This makes it easy to determine how much of <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">different types of food<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> will get on our plate.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"fontos_div\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Important <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">presentations<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> have been <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">provided<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> on how <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">children may become <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">diabetic, whether it can be cured, and how to treat this disease. <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">D<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">r. P\u00e9ter T\u00f3th-Heyn, <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">d<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">eputy <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">d<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">irector and <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">a<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">ssociate <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">p<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">rofessor of the 1st Department of Pediatrics <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">answered these questions and also talked about<\/span> <span lang=\"en-US\">the <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">warning signs. <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">Dr. Andrea Luczay, endocrinologist and associate professor at the 1st Department of Pediatrics talked about how appropriate and complex treatment begins after the diagnosis, as diabetes can be well maintained with due care.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Many <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">people were interested in<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> how to recognize early tumors: <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">about this, D<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">r. M\u00f3nika Cs\u00f3ka, <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">oncologist, associate professor and deputy director of the 2nd<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> Department of Pediatrics informed the participants, who, in addition to the importance of screening tests, also drew the attention of the participants to the importance of paying attention to body signs, sudden weight loss, fever, fatigue and unusual pain.<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> If <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">anyone<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> experience<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">s<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> this in <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">the case of their <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">child, <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">they should consult<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> a <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">pediatrician <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">immediately.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-25242\" src=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2021\/03\/image2-400x225-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" \/>Dr. \u00c1gnes N\u00e9meth, chief physician of the 2nd Department of Pediatrics held a presentation entitled \u201cWhat is calcium not good for?\u201d, who also talked about the most serious form of allergy, anaphylaxis, and the most important things to do in such a case. Dr. G\u00e1bor Kov\u00e1cs, director at the 2nd Department of Pediatrics discussed the relationship between children\u2019s healthy development and meat consumption in his presentation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span lang=\"en-US\">As Dr. D\u00e1niel Erd\u00e9lyi, associate professor at the 2<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">nd<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> Department of Pediatrics pointed out in his presentation on enlarged lymph nodes and the importance of early tumor detection, t<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">he hundreds of lymph nodes in our body play a very important role in the functioning of the immune system. <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">Dr. Tam\u00e1s Constantin, associate professor at the 2<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">nd<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> Department of Pediatrics spoke about the great responsibility of parents for childhood musculoskeletal disorders, as it is crucial for prevention and effective treatment that early signs are detected in time and that a specialist is consulted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201c<span lang=\"en-US\">Hepatic disorders in infancy and childhood belong to the category of rare diseases, but nowadays liver transplantation for acute liver failure or end-stage liver disease has become available at this age as well\u201d, highlighted Dr. Antal Dezs\u0151fi-Gottl, deputy director of the 1st Department of Pediatrics. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The presentation also revealed the extent to which family life changes after performing a life-saving surgery.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"fontos_div\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Encouraged by last year\u2019s success, <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">t<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">he physiotherapists of Semmelweis University\u2019<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">s 2<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">nd<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> Department of Pediatrics<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> have again <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">offered<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> a special program for parents and their babies sitting in front of the screens. <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">Again, t<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">he maximum number of participants registered <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">this time as well <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">for the interactive movement development <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">entitled <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u201cSkillful Babies, Smart Kids\u201d. The <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">online gymnastics entitled <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u201c<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">Let\u2019s do exercises to<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">gether &#8211; <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">c<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">hildhood movement development demonstration <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">with <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">special gymnastic exercises from the age of 6\u201d provided training for young children.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The importance of vitamins is always a current issue for the defense of our body to prevent certain diseases and to prevent the development of vitamin deficiency. Dr. Andr\u00e1s Szab\u00f3, professor of the 2nd Department of Pediatrics held a presentation about the causes and consequences of vitamin D deficiency. In another presentation, Dr. Andr\u00e1s Szab\u00f3 spoke about the fact that the prevention of adult obesity should start in childhood.
