The awards will be presented at a later date due to the current epidemiological situation, however, the <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">re<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">ward<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">s<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> related to the awards <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">have been <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">transferred <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">nevertheless<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">.<\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-24848\" src=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2021\/03\/RS3375_20130314-IMG_0846-48-as-unnepseg-scr-400x267-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"267\" \/>On the occasion of the national holiday, based on the decision of the Senate of Semmelweis University, Dr. Gy\u00f6rgy M\u00e9sz\u00e1ros (Institute of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Department of Molecular Biology) has received a Pro Universitate Award. Such a recognition may be awarded to those who have contributed to the achievement of the university&#8217;s goals at a high level throughout their many years of outstanding work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Three people received the Pro Universitate Order of Merit: <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">Dr<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">. Zsuzsanna Sz\u00e9man (<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">Institute of Mental H<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">ealth<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">), <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">D<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">r. J\u00e1nos Fazakas (Department of Transplantation and Surgery) and <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">Dr<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">. Endre Vastag (<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">Department<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> of Pulmonology). <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">This <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">order of merit<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> is <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">awarded<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> to university staff who have <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">been <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">do<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">ing<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> outstanding work for a long <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">period of <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">time.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"fontos_div\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span lang=\"en-US\">In connection with this year&#8217;s national holiday, a total of 50 people received the Semmelweis University Outstanding Employee Award, 2 people received the Semmelweis University Outstanding Conductor Award, and 3 people received the Zsuzsanna Kossuth Memorial Award. 33 people received the Rector&#8217;s Praise, 24 people received the Chancellor&#8217;s Praise, and 52 people received a Dean&#8217;s Praise.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Although due to the epidemic situation, this year\u2019s university commemoration will <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">not be held <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">and thus the awards will be presented at a later date, <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">yet at the same time the <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">reward<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">s<\/span> <span lang=\"en-US\">associated with the<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> recognition ha<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">ve<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> been transferred.
