With these measures, the university intends to reduce to the minimum the chance of people potentially infected with the coronavirus entering the premises of the clinics.<\/div>\n<p>According to the new measures to be implemented from Monday, March 23, patients will only be able to enter the area of the Inner and Outer Clinical Centers at designated entry points, and only after answering a series of question relating to influenza-like symptoms and going through a temperature screening. If any persons entering are found to have influenza-like symptoms, the prevailing protocol of the National Public Health Center will be followed in their case. Volunteer students will be present to aid with the entry process.<\/p>\n<p>All the street-level entrances of the Inner Clinical Center (BKT) and the clinics and departments located on the site, with a few exceptions, will be closed. Patients without appointments will be able to enter the area on foot only at the entrance from Baross utca, while patients that have appointments will be able to enter at the gates of the given department, which will be opened only for them personally and employees arriving on foot. In both instances, entry will be possible only after answering a series of questions <span style=\"float: none;background-color: #ffffff;color: #1e2326;cursor: text;font-family: 'PT serif',serif;font-size: 20px;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;font-weight: 400;letter-spacing: normal;text-align: left;text-decoration: none;text-indent: 0px;text-transform: none\">and temperature screening<\/span> as noted above.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2020\/03\/BKT-EN.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-20889\" src=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2020\/03\/BKT-EN.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1108\" height=\"625\" srcset=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2020\/03\/BKT-EN.jpg 1108w, https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2020\/03\/BKT-EN-400x226.jpg 400w, https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2020\/03\/BKT-EN-900x508.jpg 900w, https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2020\/03\/BKT-EN-753x425.jpg 753w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1108px) 100vw, 1108px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In the case of the Outer Clinical Center (KKT) located at the metro exit of the Semmelweis Klinik\u00e1k station, every street-level entrance will be closed except for the designated points of entry. Patients arriving to the Emergency Department (SBO) and those without appointments will be able to enter at the so-called Fire Entrance (\u201cT\u0171zolt\u00f3kapu\u201d), located on the corner of Szigony utca and Ap\u00e1thy utca. Patients arriving for appointments will be able to enter at the gates of the given department (except for patients of the Department of Urology, who can enter at gate designated X, as in the Roman numeral for 10), in every case after answering the series of designated questions and temperature screening.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2020\/03\/KKT-EN.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-20890\" src=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2020\/03\/KKT-EN.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1081\" height=\"955\" srcset=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2020\/03\/KKT-EN.jpg 1081w, https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2020\/03\/KKT-EN-400x353.jpg 400w, https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2020\/03\/KKT-EN-900x795.jpg 900w, https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2020\/03\/KKT-EN-753x665.jpg 753w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1081px) 100vw, 1081px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Concerning both clinical centers, the prohibition on visitors as announced by Hungary\u2019s Chief Medical Officer on March 8 is in effect, meaning that no patient escorts or attendants can enter, with the exception of fathers-to-be or if the patient has a disability that requires assistance. Patients can only enter either clinical center by car if they have a handicapped parking permit, and dependent on the availability of parking space.
