The delegation of Central South University in China visited the University to discuss potential opportunities to further develop cooperation between the two institutions. <\/strong><\/p>\n

During the visit, the details of the previously signed agreement on student exchange and joint research projects were specified and the elements of the collaborative project were presented. The meeting was attended by the delegation of the Central South University, led by President Tian Hongqi, the representatives of the Sk\u00e1la Group, Cao Heping owner, Nie Wen executive and Andr\u00e1s T\u00f3th office manager.<\/p>\n

Following the presentation of Semmelweis University, Professor Tian Hongqi introduced the Central South University and spoke about his proposition on the ways and opportunities to further develop cooperation between the two institutions. He believes that medical education and research and connecting medical and technical fields would bring great results. He referred to a currently ongoing collaborative project with Yale University, where a group of students attend a one-month clinical practice every year. This model could also be used in the student exchange programme with Semmelweis University. The president of Central South University mentioned that the two universities could work together and publish international joint papers and organize high quality scientific conferences.<\/p>\n\r\n [slb_exclude]\r\n

Dr. B\u00e9la Merkely was supportive of the ideas presented by Central South University and suggested specified areas of cooperation, such as internal medicine, oncology, pharmacology, neuro sciences, immunology or cell biology.<\/p>\n

Andr\u00e1s T\u00f3th introduced the project proposal of Sk\u00e1la Group, which involved the establishment of a drug production unit and its research base. Financing would be provided by the Sk\u00e1la Group and the know-how would come from Semmewleis University and the Central South University.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n
