Volunteers of Semmelweis University performed a total of 902 screenings at the National Touristic Meeting of University and College Students (EFOTT). The 250-year-old Semmelweis University was this year\u2019s host of the festival, therefore in addition to musical and sports events, festivalgoers could also take part in health screenings for the first time in EFOTT\u2019s history.<\/p>\n
Together with the National Public Health Center, Semmelweis University brought two screening buses to EFOTT, said Dr. Magor Papp, head of the Semmelweis Health Development Center. He noted that prevention services were very popular, with a total of 902 screenings and consulting sessions performed during the event for around 500 festivalgoers (some took part on more than one screening or session). Checkups included blood sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol level measurements, complex body mass analysis, oral cavity screening, dermatology exams and exhaled carbon monoxide tests, while advice was available on diets, exercising and alcohol consumption.<\/p>\n\n\n
