300 people took part in this year\u2019s Graduation Ball, which in line with traditions was held in the Nagyv\u00e1rad t\u00e9r Theoretical Building (NET). At the gala dinner organized by the Students\u2019 Union (H\u00d6K), final-year students from all of the university\u2019s faculties were present. In the name of the university\u2019s leadership, vice-rector for general affairs Dr. Ferenc B\u00e1nhidy greeted participants.<\/p>\n

In his welcome remarks, the vice-rector compared the university to a nest, which colleagues are now flying out of but where they can return at any time, be it for further training or to build contacts. He added that achieving further success on the occasion of the university\u2019s 250th anniversary will only be possible if the excellent students now graduating achieve success in life as well. \u201cYou are now entering a world where you will have to perform by yourself, and this performance will determine your future,\u201d noted the vice-rector, who also expressed his hope that the future leaders of the university will come those now seated at the tables.<\/p>\n\r\n [slb_exclude]\r\n

Tam\u00e1s Heged\u00fcs, the president of H\u00d6K, said that it has been a tradition at Semmelweis University since 2012 to hold a ball in the honor of fresh graduates. The gala dinner was held this year as well in the Nagyv\u00e1rad t\u00e9r Theoretical Building, with 300 people attending. Following the buffet dinner, guests were treated to a performance by the band Medicolor.<\/p>\n
