At the event taking place on 6 April, Semmelweis University was represented by a multi-member delegation led by Dr. L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Rosivall, President of the Semmelweis Memorial Committee.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><a href=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2019\/04\/IMAGE-300x400.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-16470\" src=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2019\/04\/IMAGE-300x400-300x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a>Dr. B\u00e9la Szab\u00f3, head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of T\u00e2rgu Mure\u0219, delivered a lecture at the ceremony. In addition to Semmelweis\u2019 life work, he also spoke about the history of Transylvania. Dr. L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Rosivall, President of the Semmelweis Memorial Committee, gave a summary of the events and lessons of the Memorial Year entitled \u201c200 years of Semmelweis \u2012 from the Semmelweis Goblet to the statue unveiling in Tokyo\u201d. Dr. L\u00e1szl\u00f3 D\u00e1vid, Rector of the Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania, thanked the delegation for the gift, stating that he considered this to be of special importance given that the Hungarian-language medical training in Transylvania was in a difficult situation. At the unveiling ceremony, L\u00e1szl\u00f3 T\u00f3th, Consul General of Miercurea Ciuc, was also present and praised Semmelweis\u2019 greatness.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Andr\u00e1s Kelemen, Dean of the T\u00e2rgu Mure\u0219 Faculty of the Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania, and Dr. Tibor Szil\u00e1gyi, President of the Medical and Pharmacy Division of the Transylvanian Museum Society, delivered ceremonial speeches at the unveiling.
