Filipino doctors received a short self-financed vocational training at the 2nd<\/sup> Department of Internal Medicine, organized by the Singaporean Proxymm International LLP. and the Directorate of International Relations of Semmelweis University.<\/p>\n

In May<\/a>, a vocational training was organized for Filipino doctors at the 2nd<\/sup> Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. In September, sixty physicians, endocrinologists, cardiologists and nephrologists arrived at the 2nd<\/sup> Department of Internal Medicine in three cycles to receive a comprehensive overview of the Hungarian healthcare system, Semmelweis University and the activities of the clinic. The visitors participated in a three-hour professional lecture and a guided visit, which was commissioned by Dr. Anik\u00f3 Somogyi, on behalf of director Dr. P\u00e9ter Igaz.<\/p>\n

During the programme, Dr. Beatrix S\u00e1rm\u00e1n spoke about diabetes in different ages, including gestational diabetes and diabetes in geriatric patients. Dr. G\u00e1bor Firneisz\u2019s lecture focused on delaying kidney damage with type 2 diabetes, while Dr. G\u00e9za Nagy spoke about diabetic foot care and sports activities in diabetes. Dr. \u00c1kos N\u00e1dasdi presented the role of diabetes in the development of fatty liver diesase, and Zolt\u00e1n Herold gave a lecture on the relationship between diabetes mellitus and chromogranins.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Following the lectures, Dr. P\u00e9ter Pusztai led the delegation to the endocrinology laboratory, the outpatient oncology and cardiology, the gastroenterological laboratory, a scientific laboratory and the intensive care unit, where the department staff presented the scientific and professional work conducted there.<\/p>\n

The Singapore-based company would like to continue the programme in the future, so, according to plans, 120 Filipino doctors will be able to take part in vocational trainings in six cycles at the 2nd<\/sup> Department of Internal Medicine in the first half of 2019.<\/p>\n
