Dr L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Hunyady, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, member of Academia Europeae, Director of the Department of Physiology, university professor was given the Sz\u00e9chenyi Prize for his outstanding research, teaching and managerial work.<\/p>\n
Dr Gy\u00f6rgy Lang, Director of the National Institute of Oncology Thoracic Surgery Department of Semmelweis University, university professor was awarded the Middle Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit for his distinguished work and teaching activity.<\/p>\n
The prizes were granted by J\u00e1nos \u00c1der, President of Hungary, together with Viktor Orb\u00e1n, Prime Minister of Hungary and L\u00e1szl\u00f3 K\u00f6v\u00e9r, Speaker of the National Assembly, in the Dome of Parliament Building in Budapest, Hungary.<\/p>\n
In the Pesti Vigad\u00f3 Dr Zolt\u00e1n \u00d3nodi-Sz\u0171cs, State Secretary for Health awarded the Batthy\u00e1ny-Strattmann L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Award to Dr Zolt\u00e1n Szabolcs, professor of Heart and Vascular Centre and Dr P\u00e9ter S\u00e1ndor, retired university professor of Semmelweis University, for their outstanding professional activity.<\/p>\n
Dr M\u00e1ria Hoyer, associate professor of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Dr \u00c9va Szombathelyi, clinical psychologist of the Department of Neurology were given the Pro Sanitate Award for their remarkable professional work.<\/p>\n
The Department of Nursing of the Faculty of Health Sciences received the Minister\u2019s Certificate of Merit.<\/p>\n
On behalf of J\u00e1nos \u00c1der, President of Hungary, Zolt\u00e1n Balog, Minister of Human Capacities, granted the Officer\u2019s Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit to Dr L\u00e1szl\u00f3 G\u00e1bor H\u00e1rsing, scientific advisor of the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy, doctor of medicine, to Dr P\u00e9ter Kempler, professor of the 1st<\/sup> Department of Internal Medicine, President of Diabetological Licence Gremium, Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, President of the Hungarian Diabetes Association and to Dr Mikl\u00f3s Szab\u00f3, associate professor, Head of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the 1st<\/sup> Department of Paediatrics for their outstanding work.
