The two-day-long event was attended by nearly a hundred pathologists.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/hirek\/files\/2017\/09\/RS66467_DSC_5637x-scr.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft \" src=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/hirek\/files\/2017\/09\/RS66467_DSC_5637x-scr.jpg\" width=\"417\" height=\"277\" \/><\/a>\u201cThe workshop aimed at the full coverage of the most important areas of differential diagnostics in pulmonology, including the pathology of pulmonary tumours and pulmonary fibrosis.\u201d, said Dr. Andr\u00e1s Khoor, pathologist at Mayo Clinic and President of the Hungarian Medical Association of America.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Andr\u00e1s Matolcsy, Director of the 1<sup>st<\/sup> Department of Pathology and Experimental Cancer Research said that the knowledge of surgical pathology is essential for oncologists and pulmonologists to properly treat patients.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe key to successful patient care is team work, as both knowledge and responsibility need to be shared. This can be achieved through continuing education and by promoting and sharing the know-how\u201d, Dr. Andr\u00e1s Khoor said about the philosophy of Mayo Clinic.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop organised by the renowned American institution gave an opportunity to pathologists to study diseases that they otherwise would not have access to.
