{"id":1036,"date":"2011-05-12T11:36:15","date_gmt":"2011-05-12T11:36:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.semmelweis-univ.hu\/?p=1036"},"modified":"2022-10-19T10:27:55","modified_gmt":"2022-10-19T08:27:55","slug":"1036","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/2011\/05\/1036\/","title":{"rendered":"European Commission Vice President visits Semmelweis University"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Vice President of the European Commission Neelie Kroes visited Semmelweis University on May 10 as part of her working visit to Hungary, in order to become acquainted with some of the research and development work being conducted at the University.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1037\" title=\"EC Vice President Neelie Kroes's visit to Semmelweis University\" src=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2011\/05\/img_8726.jpg\" alt=\"EC Vice President Neelie Kroes's visit to Semmelweis University\" width=\"539\" height=\"286\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Accompanied by Dr. Mikl\u00f3s R\u00e9thelyi, Minister of National Resources, Dr. Kroes was received by Dr. Mikl\u00f3s T\u00f3th, Vice Rector for Science and Innovation and Dr. Guszt\u00e1v Stubnya, Director General of Strategic Development and Management Affairs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Dr. Kroes was introduced to two of the University\u2019s most important current R&amp;D projects at a meeting held in the Senate Hall. First, the development of the intelligent surgical device was presented by Dr. Zolt\u00e1n Tak\u00e1ts, after which Dr. P\u00e9ter Bartha provided an overview of the development and current state of the Health Research Data Analyzer and Biobank Data Manager softwares.
