Foundation for National Health Care and Medical Education<\/h3>\n

As of August 1, 2021, Semmelweis University is operating under the control of a public-interest trust foundation. The maintainer of the university is the Foundation for National Health Care and Medical Education (NEOA). The new, more flexible structure will make possible for the university to better meet the social, economic and knowledge industry challenges, as well as the expectations for high quality.<\/p>\n

The Semmelweis University Foundation is Semmelweis University\u2019s non-profit foundation, which aims to support its educational, health care, and research activities. It was established to support Semmelweis University of Medicine\u2019s educational, health care, and research activities. The Foundation undertakes public benefit activities and performs public functions in the areas of health maintenance, disease prevention, healing and health rehabilitation, scientific activities, research, teaching and education, skill development, and the dissemination of knowledge.<\/p>\n

Semmelweis Premium Medical Services and Consulting Ltd.<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/a>Wholly owned by the University, Semmelweis Premium offers high quality private health care services using Semmelweis University\u2019s clinical background and the expertise and professional experience of its clinical physicians.\u00a0 It provides services that are not funded by the National Health Insurance Fund of Hungary (NEAK) or that would be available only after a very long waiting period.

HCEMM Non-profit Ltd.<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/a>The European Commission\u2019s Research Executive Agency, the National Research, Development and Innovation Office, the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, the Hungarian Academy of Sciences Biological Research Centre in Szeged, the University of Szeged, the University of Debrecen, Semmelweis University and the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (\u201cEMBL\u201d) signed a multilateral agreement within the framework of Horizon 2020 program.<\/p>\n

Semmelweis TTC Technology Transfer Center Private Limited Company<\/h3>\n

Semmelweis TTC Technology Transfer Center Private Limited Company is a one-person, private limited company owned by Semmelweis University. The company is solely responsible for the utilization of intellectual property created at the university, whose rights of use have not yet been granted through licensing out and spin-offs. Via the company, the university will provide researchers with more efficient assistance to increase the technological maturity and commercialization of their innovations, from the first filing of an intellectual creation, through further funding, and incubation services to successful market entry.<\/p>\n

University Fencing Club Ltd.<\/h3>\n

Semmelweis University gives priority to expanding the framework and opportunities for sporting activities, which enables both students and employees to actively participate in a sports organization associated with the institution. As a part of this process, Semmelweis University, together with E\u00f6tv\u00f6s Lor\u00e1nd University, established the University Fencing Club Ltd. with an equal share of the business in order to boost university sports life and create a proper framework for the cultivation of fencing. Within the partnership, the Ltd. established by an equal share of ownership provides the background for the joint fencing club of the two universities.<\/p>\n
