EUniWell Forum at Campus

The EUniWell Forum was organized on 22 February 2024 at Semmelweis University. 

The EUniWell Forum provided an insights into the projects implemented within the EUniWell Alliance, the available funding opportunities, and our strategic plans for the next years. This event was an excellent opportunity for the academic and student community to network, share knowledge, and contribute to EUniWell’s collective mission of promoting well-being through education and research.

Mental Health Symposium

The Mental Health Symposium is part of a winning Seed Funding project, initiated by the students of seven EUniWell partner universities, led and hosted by Semmelweis University at the Basic Medical Science Center in Budapest, Hungary. It aims to draw attention to the current challenges of student mental health and to explore and enhance mental health initiatives and resources at partner universities. 

The on-site program is available for invited and registered EUniWell representatives only.

The on-site plenary sessions are organized in a hybrid form and are open (online, via Zoom) for all registered participants on 14 October 2022. The day on 15 October 2022 is dedicated to closed on-site student workshops attended by selected EUniWell student delegates. The language of the Symposium is English.

Rector’s Assembly in Budapest

 

From 13 to 14 October 2022 Rectors, Vice-Rectors and other leading representatives from all EUniWell universities came together in Budapest to collectively shape the future of the Alliance.

As part of the Rectors Assembly, Semmelweis University also hosted the Opening Ceremony of European Universities’ Rectors Assembly.  The event brought together leaders from the European Higher Education Area to consider how universities participating in the European Universities Initiative can contribute to addressing the challenges facing the area, and to improving the quality and strength of European higher education.

FestiWell 2022

From 2-13 May 2022 the European University for Well-Being is hosting its 2nd annual FestiWell. Under the title “Towards global sustainable well-being”, the 9-day event will explore with students, researchers, academic and university staff from all EUniWell partner institutions one of the great challenges of the present: how to set the course for a sustainable future in which we can live together with well-being.

From 2-13 May 2022, seven of the eight EUniWell partner universities will organise one FestiWell day as part of the programme. 

Semmelweis University’s day is 12 May, when our focus will be on the sustainability challenges of healthcare. We will also look at the practices of other European University Alliances and include the next presentation of EUniWell Open Lecture Series in the programme.

Metabolic trajectories before the diagnosis of type 2 diabetes

As part of the EUniWell Open Lecture Series, Dr. Ádám Tabák will be speaking about “The use of metabolic trajectories to better describe the natural history of metabolic diseases” on Thursday, 7 April, 13:00 CET / 12:00 GMT.

FestiWell 2021

Semmelweis University celebrated at a local event called Semmelweis Well-Being Days, organised in the Basic Medical Science Center (EOK) on 19 October.
