Our enrolling students of all the three faculties need to get their aptitude test certified in a Health Record Booklet. To expedite the process, we encourage everyone to undertake the following medical examinations in advance, bring the test results with them, and present the documents at the Occupational Health Service (see below). (Availability only on weekdays at 1085 Budapest, Stáhly utca 9., 3rd floor, room 310 – Szent Rókus Clinical Building) The latest deadline for completing the Health Record Booklet is the last day of the training term before the examination period. A special insurance is provided for our students, and its fee is included in the tuition fee. The service includes an English speaking call center, GP-service and treatment at the Polyclinics and Clinics of Semmelweis University. As long as you pay your tuition fee each semester and you are a registered active student, this insurance is automatically renewed until the end of your studies. The Hungarian health insurance provided by the University is only valid from the date of enrolling at the University. How to obtain a new student card To obtain a new student card, you must first have an official photo taken and provide your official signature at Központi Okmányiroda (Central Document Office). Address: 1133 Budapest, Visegrádi utca 110-112. Opening hours: You must take your residence permit and passport with you to the Központi Okmányiroda. There you will be given a NEK (Nemzeti Egységes Kártyarendszer) data sheet. This form has a 16-character identification number in the upper right corner. Log in to your Neptun site, go to ’Administration’ and click on ’Student Card request’ in the drop-down list. A smiley Click on the grey tab ’Add new’ and type your 16 character NEK identifier into the blank called ’NEK azonosító’ then choose ’Demand type’. Check that your permanent (home) address is correct and appears in the ’Street, number’ text box. Write your addresses on the NEK datasheet (temporary and home) if it is not in the Neptun. Please bring the NEK datasheet to the Directorate of International Studies – Division of English Language Programs during opening hours. If the above has been completed, we will begin to process the student card application. The plastic card takes about 6 months to be produced after being ordered from the Directorate of International Studies – Division of English Language Programs. You will need to use the temporary, A4-format certificate until you receive your official card. You have to renew your temporary certificate every 2 months. More information will be shared later… Transfer is only possible from another medical university in Hungary. The transfer application is done online via SEMAPHOR system and will be available from mid May. The deadline of the application is June 15th of each year, for whom the conditions for dismissal are not met in the previous establishment. Decision about the transfer is made by the committee competent in educational and examinational affairs in the light of the student’s academic achievement and other circumstances, taking into account the available capacity. If admission is refused, the student may commence studies at the institution only after successful admission. If the transfer student does not have a continuous legal relationship until enrollment, then the decision on the transfer will be withdrawn by the committee competent in educational and examinational affairs in accordance with Article 57 (6) of the Act on National Higher Education.
