These factors not only reduce quality of life but also weaken the economic attractiveness of these areas.

TeleHealthAid objectives:

to improve the accessibility and quality of healthcare services,

to reduce the workload of general practitioners,

to strengthen cooperation among healthcare professionals,

and to support the development of sustainable and modern healthcare systems.

Within the project, healthcare actors from Hungary, Austria, and Germany jointly develop and test cooperation models that strengthen collaboration between general practitioners, emergency medical services, and specialists. Through telemedicine, GPs gain more efficient access to specialist support, improving both the quality and accessibility of care.

The developed solutions will be tested in real-life settings in Nógrád County (Hungary) and the Jennersdorf region (Austria), while the Aachen region (Germany) contributes as a knowledge hub with telemedicine expertise. Based on the pilot results, scalable models will be developed that can be applied in other regions, supporting long-term improvements in healthcare systems.

TeleHealthAid places strong emphasis on knowledge transfer, stakeholder engagement, and co-creation, ensuring that solutions respond to local needs. The transnational cooperation enables the exchange and adaptation of best practices across different healthcare systems.

Project partners

Lead Partner / Consortium Lead: Semmelweis Faculty of Health and Public Administration Health Services Management Training Centre (HSMTC)

Role of HSMTC:
As Lead Partner, HSMTC coordinates the TeleHealthAid project and is responsible for identifying and developing telemedicine solutions, designing training programmes, supporting stakeholder engagement, and ensuring effective knowledge transfer across pilot regions.
