Duration:<\/strong> 01 January 2026 – 31 December 2027<\/p>\n The TeleHealthAid project<\/strong> aims to improve access to healthcare in peripheral and socio-economically disadvantaged regions of Central Europe through innovative, telemedicine-based cooperation solutions.<\/p>\n These regions face multiple challenges: a shortage of general practitioners, ageing populations, increasing healthcare needs, as well as limited infrastructure and large geographical distances that hinder access to care. These factors not only reduce quality of life but also weaken the economic attractiveness of these areas.<\/p>\n Within the project, healthcare actors from Hungary, Austria, and Germany<\/strong> jointly develop and test cooperation models that strengthen collaboration between general practitioners, emergency medical services, and specialists. Through telemedicine, GPs gain more efficient access to specialist support, improving both the quality and accessibility of care.<\/p>\n The developed solutions will be tested in real-life settings in N\u00f3gr\u00e1d County (Hungary)<\/strong> and the Jennersdorf region (Austria)<\/strong>, while the Aachen region (Germany)<\/strong> contributes as a knowledge hub with telemedicine expertise. Based on the pilot results, scalable models will be developed that can be applied in other regions, supporting long-term improvements in healthcare systems.<\/p>\n TeleHealthAid places strong emphasis on knowledge transfer<\/strong>, stakeholder engagement<\/strong>, and co-creation<\/strong>, ensuring that solutions respond to local needs. \nAs Lead Partner, HSMTC coordinates the TeleHealthAid project and is responsible for identifying and developing telemedicine solutions, designing training programmes, supporting stakeholder engagement, and ensuring effective knowledge transfer across pilot regions.
