Building on these developments, the first Slovak language course was launched in 2010 in cooperation with the newly established <strong>Slovak Health Management Academy<\/strong>, then as a specialised further education course and later as a Master&#8217;s course, headquartered in Budapest.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Based on the evaluation of experiences from the initial cohorts, by autumn 2017 the programme development had reached a stage where the conditions were in place to launch the master\u2019s programme as an off-campus course. Following the completion of the accreditation process, the training could start in Bratislava from the academic year 2020\/2021.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"fontos_div w-100\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Information about the start of the programme and the admission requirements is available on the website of the <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hma.sk\/master-of-science-in-healthcare-man\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Health Management Academy<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><a id=\"Economics\"><\/a>Economics &#8211; compulsory elective course (in English)<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Contrary to popular belief, economics is not primarily about money. Its main objective is to support individuals in making decisions that help them achieve their goals. The course will illustrate that economics is a general tool for more effective work, leadership and a better understanding of how the world works, which graduates in pharmacy will also need.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In addition, the course guides students through the application and relevance of economic concepts within their chosen profession, illustrating these through practical examples and real-life decision-making scenarios.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The primary aim of the course is to guide students through the economic laws that run through all areas of life, and to provide a basis for and promote optimal decision-making and the effectiveness of the tasks.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"fontos_div w-100\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The department responsible for the teaching of the subject: <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/gyogyszertar\/universitypharmacy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University Pharmacy Institute of Pharmaceutical Administration, Faculty of Pharmacy, Semmelweis University<\/a><\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Students can read the details about the start of the course on <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/neptun\/en\/starting-neptun\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Neptun<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><a id=\"HealthcareManagement\"><\/a>Healthcare Management &#8211; compulsory elective course (in English)<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In the everyday practice of healthcare professionals, healing is strongly influenced by financial, organizational development, quality management, and health policy considerations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The aim of the Healthcare Management course is therefore to provide Semmelweis University students with a deeper understanding of the fundamental concepts related to healthcare management.
