Concerto Budapest’s music director and principal conductor is Kossuth Prize winner Andr\u00e1s Keller. Fifteen years ago, the founder of the world-renowned Keller Quartet took over the orchestra, which celebrated the 100th anniversary of its foundation in 2007. Under Andr\u00e1s Keller’s leadership, the orchestra carries on the noblest traditions of Hungarian chamber music, with a continuity and musical spirit that stretches from B\u00e9la Bart\u00f3k and Leo Weiner to S\u00e1ndor V\u00e9gh and Ferenc Rados and Gy\u00f6rgy Kurt\u00e1g.<\/p>\n

In parallel with Concerto Budapest’s international expansion, two of the most prominent musicians and conductors of our time will join the orchestra this season: composer P\u00e9ter E\u00f6tv\u00f6s as first guest conductor and pianist and conductor Mihail Pletnyov.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
In addition, the orchestra has invited distinguished guest artists such as Oksana Lyniv, Juliane Banse, Nikolai Lugansky, Jonathan Biss and Lucas Debargue.<\/p>\n
