Our Institute has been involved in several formulation development projects.<\/p>\n<h4><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/corefacility\/files\/2024\/04\/Multi-unit-dosage-forms-pelletization-webre.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"405\" \/><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>Our equipment<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: square\">\n<li><strong>Layering and Drying process: Aeromatic Fielder fluid bed model STREA 1<\/strong> (Aeromatic-Fielder AG, Switzerland) &#8211; With plastic chamber (max 2 kg capacity), bottom and top spraying option, different nozzle diameters (d=0.5; 0.8 and 1.2 mm) available<\/li>\n<li><strong>Extrusion: Caleva Multi Lab extruder<\/strong> (Caleva Process Solutions Ltd., Sturminster Newton, UK) &#8211; To produce the homogeneous powder mixture required for extrusion, we have a lab-scale V-blender and a high-speed mixer (Stephan UMC 5). <br \/>\n5 various die hole diameters (0.8 mm; 1.0 mm; 1.5 mm; 2.00 mm and 2.5 mm) can be built into the single screw extruder.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Spheronization: Spheronizer<\/strong> (Locost GSZF-AK spheronizer; Locost Kft., Tiszaalp\u00e1r, Hungary)<\/li>\n<li><strong>In vitro drug release: Hanson SR8-Plus<sup>TM<\/sup> Dissolution Test Station with E-probe<\/strong>; AutoPlus Maximizer and Multifill collector, Hanson Research, USA<\/li>\n<li><strong>Shape parameters: Keyence VHX<\/strong> digital microscope or <strong>Nikon SMZ 1000<\/strong> stereomicroscope. Shape parameters can be determined using <strong>ImagePro Plus<\/strong> 4.5 software developed by Media Cybernetics, USA.
